  • Publication number: 20100260143
Abstract: A radio communication system includes an EPC 100, a 3G network 200 and a mobile station 10 connectable to an external network 300 via any one of the EPC 100 and the 3G network 200. The communication system includes: a handover function unit configured to control a handover from the EPC 100 to the 3G network 200. The number of EPS bearers allowed to be set up with the mobile station 10 and the EPC 100 is larger than the number of PDP contexts allowed to be set up with the mobile station 10 and the 3G network 200. The handover function unit controls the handover in accordance with the number of the EPS beaters already set up with the mobile station 10 and the EPC 100 and the number of the PDP contexts to be newly set up with the mobile station 10 and the 3G network 200.

  • Publication number: 20100130204
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to avoid congestion, by restricting only processing which causes the congestion without affecting processing which essentially should not be restricted. In a mobile communication system according to the present invention, an exchange MSC/SGSN includes: a congestion factor detector configured to detect a congestion occurrence factor in the switching exchange MSC/SGSN, and a restriction indication transmitter configured to transmit, a restriction indication, to a radio network controller, based on the detected congestion occurrence factor, the restriction indication instructing a processing type that should be restricted in the switching exchange MSC/SGSN congestion occurrence factor. The radio network controller RNC is provided with a broadcast information transmitter configured to transmit broadcast information including the received restriction indication to a mobile station UE.

  • Publication number: 20100074171
Abstract: A packet communication method of the present invention includes a step of: receiving, at a mobile station (UE), restriction information for accepting an incoming call and restricting an outgoing call; establishing, at the mobile station (UE), a control path with a packet exchange (SGSN) in response to incoming of paging for the mobile station (UE); sending, the packet exchange (SGSN), a message instructing to establish the data path via the control path; and establishing, at the mobile station (UE), the data path by calling to the packet exchange (SGSN), when the mobile station (UE) receives the message after the mobile station (UE) has received the restriction information.

  • Publication number: 20090196220
Abstract: When a browser is started up by a user, a packet call establishment request unit of a cellular phone requests the start of processing for establishing a packet call, and a communication control unit executes a packet all establishment processing. A mobile communication network sends a packet call establishment response message to the cellular phone, then sends packet data. A packet date storage unit of the cellular phone stores the packet data in a memory when packet data is received before the packet call establishment response message. If the packet call establishment response message is received thereafter, the packet data storage unit reads the packet data from the memory, and deletes the packet data from the memory. The packet processing execution unit displays a screen corresponding to the packet data on the display. Thereby, instances when packet data is discarded is decreased.

  • Publication number: 20070273749
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to allow a cellular phone to establish a video-phone call even when there is an incoming video-phone call during the packet communications. The cellular phone system comprises a cellular phone and the Mobile Multimedia Switching Center (MMS). The MMS comprises a call type judgment section that judges, when a call request is made to the cellular phone, whether the call request is for a video-phone call; a communication status judgment section that judges whether the cellular phone is performing packet communications; and an adding section that adds call information to the effect that the call request is for a video-phone call to an incoming call signal in cases where the call request is for a video-phone call and packet communications are being performed.
