Abstract: Provided is a method of forming a semiconductor thin film. The method may include forming, on a substrate, a thin film that contains one of Ge, Si, and a SiGe mixture, and Sn in a content of 0.1 atomic % or more to 20 atomic % or less, and applying pulsed laser light to the thin film.

The shutter assumes an intermediate position of sliding when the disk cartridge is located at one of the information regenerating location and. the information recording location, and assumes a terminal position of sliding when the shutter is located at the other one of the locations. The disk player also includes a driving mechanism including an engaging element and an engaged element which is separated from the engaging element when the information recording mechanism is not driven.

Abstract: In a recording medium reproducing unit, hooks are given a holding-down function and a bending function to turn in a plurality directions of flexible cables for connecting a circuit board to major components of a reproducing unit body. An adapter is provided on the under side of the reproducing-unit body to be adapted for various thickness values of disc players. A holding mechanism for a circuit board is provided in the adapter to secure an easy setting of a board within the reproducing unit.

The clamped part 3 of the disk type recording medium 2 is adapted to be exposed through the center openings 16 and 27. The protective case 7 includes a plate part 29, a second annular projection 33 and an engaging portion 34. The second annular projection 33 enters into the center opening 16. The disk type recording medium 2 is positioned between the annular projections 28 and 33 with the engaging portion 34 engaged with the center bore 5.
