  • Publication number: 20150316812
Abstract: The present invention reduces driving noise and provides a display device that can be used in combination with a high-precision touch panel. A display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a shield layer provided on the surface of the first substrate opposite to the surface facing the second substrate; and a ground terminal that is electrically connected to the shield layer. The shield layer includes a transparent conductive film and a metal film that is provided on at least one portion of the periphery of the first substrate and contacts the transparent conductive film. Shield resistance is defined as the maximum resistance between the ground terminal and an arbitrary point on the transparent conductive film. The shield resistance is less than 1000?, and the noise on the surface of the transparent conductive film is less than or equal to 1V.

  • Patent number: 8698783
Abstract: Disclosed is a touch panel comprising a display panel (for example, a liquid crystal panel) (1); a plurality of mirrors (2) provided on an edge of a display surface side of the display panel (1); a light source (3); a plurality of light sensors (4) embedded in the display panel (1), positioned immediately under the mirrors (2), and for which light emitted from the light source (3) is guided by the mirrors (2); and a data interpolation processing unit that, if an output signal from a certain light sensor included in the plurality of light sensors (4) is at most at a threshold, calculates interpolation data from output signals that are stronger than the threshold from light sensors about a periphery of the certain light sensor.

  • Publication number: 20130335362
Abstract: A touch panel control circuit includes a switch signal generation circuit, a touch panel drive signal generation circuit that generates a touch panel drive signal, and a synchronizing signal generation circuit. The switch signal generation circuit generates a switch signal corresponding to a generation timing of the touch panel drive signal. The switch signal specifies a switching period during which a switching liquid crystal drive signal driving a switching liquid crystal panel is switched to a touch panel drive signal and supplied to a common board that is commonly used for a touch panel and a switching liquid crystal panel. The synchronizing signal generation circuit generates a synchronizing signal that starts switching from the switching liquid crystal drive signal to the touch panel drive signal at a predetermined period.

  • Publication number: 20130162918
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a touch panel arranged on a display surface side of the display panel, a switching liquid crystal panel including a parallax barrier that enables three-dimension display, a common board that is commonly used as a base board of the touch panel and a base board of the switching liquid crystal panel, a plurality of electrodes provided on the common board and used for the touch panel and the switching liquid crystal panel, and a drive circuit configured to apply a synthesized signal to some of the electrodes. The synthesized signal is configured by synthesizing a touch panel drive signal and a switching liquid crystal drive signal.
