  • Publication number: 20060047417
Abstract: At the start of traveling of a mobile object, a central processing unit calculates a route to a target place and an estimated time of arrival at the target place. After the start of traveling, when the mobile object has come to within a predetermined distance of the target place, a distance calculating unit in the central processing unit detects the distance, and a calling unit in the central processing unit automatically makes a call to a destination set in association with the target place through an external communication network. In this manner, a person who waits at the target place can be notified of the estimated time of arrival at an appropriate time.

  • Publication number: 20050069282
Abstract: An information reproducing apparatus reproduces music information with an information reproducing portion. And it refers to an output voice, an output video, a voice level and so on during reproduction of the music information, and specifies a starting time and an ending time of the arbitrary phrase such as a refrain on a touch panel with a reproducing section specifying portion. And it generates a phrase information file indicating the phrase (reproducing section) consisting of the starting time and the ending time of the phrase with a reproducing section information generating portion. In the case where the phrase information file and the music information thereof are extracted to reproduce only a phrase portion or the entire music information, it is also possible to reproduce it by having only a sound quality of the phrase portion changed by a sound quality changing portion.

  • Patent number: 5329516
Abstract: A disk player which is capable of attaining a higher speed in its start-up for sound reproduction, in which at the time of the reproduction of a disk, the pickup moves to the starting position of the reproduced side for the disk to be reproduced after the specified side of the disk is determined when the disk number, the disk size, and the music piece number are specified. Even in case the side B of a disk has been specified, the present invention makes it possible for a disk player promptly to perform the start-up operation of each disk. Even in case any of CDs and LDs different in type is stored, the present invention enables a disk player promptly to perform the start-up operation for such a disk.

  • Patent number: 4992892
Abstract: In a stereo sound digital recording system in which a plurality of tunes or programs are sequentially and digitally recorded on a magnetic tape, the left and right analog input signals are combined and converted to a digital signal. The analog input signals are also applied to a detector which detects the head of the program or tune and which causes to be generated a start identification sub-code signal which is automatically added to the digital signal, before the modulation thereof, and which is recorded on the tape for about nine seconds in the non-sound portion preceding the tune or program. A second sub-code signal, in the form of a program number signal, may also be added to the digital signal, simultaneously with the program start identification sub-code signal, to provide recorded numbers respectively identifying programs which are sequentially recorded on the tape.

  • Patent number: 4860129
Abstract: In a signal reproducing device such as an R-DAT video tape recorder, a digital signal recorded on the recording medium is reproduced by the magnetic head, stored in a memory, processed by a processing circuit, and converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter, and a detector detects whether or not the reproduction signal outputted by the head is present so that, according to the output of the detector, a muting circuit mutes the digital-to-analog converted signal and a driver suspends the operation of a level meter adapted to display the level of the digital signal, whereby the production of noise signals and the abnormal display of signal levels are prevented.

  • Patent number: 4839584
Abstract: A signal recording/reproducing apparatus having both bar-type and numeric signal-level displaying units which can be easily read. The apparatus includes a sample-and-hold circuit for sampling and holding an input signal at a first predetermined rate, a first display unit for displaying in bar form the sample values sampled by the sample-and-hold circuit, a data holding circuit for sampling and holding the sample values periodically at a second predetermined rate, and a second display unit for numerically displaying the sample values selected by the data holding circuit. The bar code display can change at a rapid rate to dynamically follow the input signal, while the numeric display changes at a slower rate so as to allow the user sufficient time to comprehend the numerically displayed value.
