  • Publication number: 20230115132
Abstract: A subject S to which 17O gas has been administered is placed within a fixed uniform static magnetic field of an NMR apparatus 1. The subject is irradiated, through proton coupling, with an excitation pulse produced using a pulse sequence having a short cycle time of 20.4 msec or less, preferably 10.4 msec or less, and more preferably 5.6 msec or less. An NMR signal generated due to 17O nuclei of 17O water produced within the subject by oxygen metabolism of the 17O gas being excited by irradiation with the excitation pulse is detected with high sensitivity and is processed in accordance with a prescribed imaging sequence in which an MRS sequence is used.

  • Patent number: 11377358
Abstract: A novel method for producing a porous carbon material which makes it possible to easily produce a porous carbon material having a desired shape. The method includes immersing a carbon-containing material having a desired shape and composed of a compound, alloy or non-equilibrium alloy containing carbon in a metal bath, the metal bath having a solidification point that is lower than a melting point of the carbon-containing material, the metal bath being controlled to a lower temperature than a minimum value of a liquidus temperature within a compositional fluctuation range extending from the carbon-containing material to carbon by decreasing the other non-carbon main components, to thereby selectively elute the other non-carbon main components into the metal bath while maintaining an external shape of the carbon-containing material to give a porous carbon material having microvoids.

  • Publication number: 20190062872
Abstract: A method for producing a carbon composite material to reduce costs; and a carbon composite material includes a dealloying step of immersing a carbon-containing material composed of a compound, alloy or non-equilibrium alloy containing carbon in a metal bath, the metal bath having a solidification point lower than a melting point of the carbon-containing material, the metal bath being controlled to a lower temperature than a minimum value of a liquidus temperature within a compositional fluctuation range extending from the carbon-containing material to carbon by decreasing other non-carbon main components, to thereby selectively elute the other non-carbon main components into the metal bath to form a carbon member having microvoids; and a cooling step performed with the microvoids of the carbon member including a component of the metal bath to solidify the component. The carbon composite material combining carbon with the metal bath component that has solidified is thereby obtained.

  • Publication number: 20170211063
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a production system that is capable of high-level secretory production of a protein (and in particular, a protein with a complicated structure such as a structure with S—S bonds) in a host cell such as yeast and is suitable for industrial production with high safety that does not require explosion-proof facilities. The present invention provides a transformed yeast into which a chaperone gene has been introduced and in which the aox1 gene and/or the protease gene have been disrupted and a method for producing a protein involving the use of such transformed yeast.

  • Patent number: 7938520
Abstract: An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a rubber member in an ink flow passage. The rubber member is pretreated with an organic solvent having a high boiling point, a water-based liquid containing a coloring agent, or a mixture of the two. The pretreatment is effective for preventing additives in the rubber material from being eluted into a water-based liquid for ink-jet recording, which can lead to clogging of ink-jet nozzles and the like.
