  • Patent number: 5428342
Abstract: A system for analyzing the operating conditions of electrical apparatus in order for the aged to check the change and abnormal state of life and for the external institute to check the safety of the houses or homes and so on. The data of standard power spectra of particular consumption current for each apparatus are stored in the memory of the system. The electrical signal detected from the wiring conductor is converted into a digital signal by the preprocessor and undergoes fast Fourier transform at the processor so as to be converted into an extracted power spectrum. If the extracted power spectrum includes a particular one of the standard power spectra as a result of comparing this spectrum with the standard power spectra, the operating conditions of that apparatus are stored in the memory with lapse of time.

  • Patent number: 5090676
Abstract: A sheet separating and feeding apparatus has a separating device and a vacuum-attracting device to separate and feed sheets one by one from piled sheets. The separating device includes a compressed air plenum chamber, and main nozzles, first auxiliary nozzles and second auxiliary nozzles which are provided on the compressed air plenum chamber for causing air to blow to an upper portion of the piled sheets to separate the uppermost sheet from the remaining sheets. The vacuum-attracting device includes a vacuum chamber and an endless belt having a plurality of through holes provided in a part of the belt. The endless belt rotates around the vacuum chamber, and attracts the uppermost sheet which is separated by the separating device, when the through holes intermittently communicate with a negative pressure in the vacuum chamber.

  • Patent number: 5076567
Abstract: A medium transferring apparatus which makes use of a preliminary transference stage prior to a main transference stage at the time of transference of a medium such as a sheet of paper. In the former stage, an initial parameter setting operation is performed so that a desired amount of feeding of the medium and control parameters for achieving this feed amount, including the amount of control rotation, rotational speed and acceleration on starting of a transferring motor are automatically determined on the basis of external factors used as parameters such as the number of operations of the transferring apparatus, the type of the medium and desired environmental factors of use of the apparatus including temperature and humidity. In the initial parameter setting operation, an unknown friction coefficient of the medium is determined.

  • Patent number: 5039086
Abstract: To adjust the posture of a sheet being conveyed, movable checker members provided adjacent to the conveyance path for the sheet are once driven in the direction of conveyance of the sheet before the members touch the sheet and are subsequently decelerated, the members being caused to abut against the front end of the sheet during the deceleration, thereby checking the sheet and thus correcting any skew thereof. Further, for positioning the sides of the sheet, the sheet is taken out of a hopper by way of a separating device and is guided and fed in such a manner that its front corner will not be caused to abut against a side registration guide, and subsequently the sheet is conveyed toward the guide by way of obliquely extending conveyer belt devices and one side of the sheet is brought into contact with the guide for positioning after a front corner of the sheet has passed at least the edge of the guide.

  • Patent number: 5018718
Abstract: A method of controlling print positioning comprises the steps of: detecting the time which elapses until a sheet of paper reaches a given position; predicting the time which would elapse until the paper reaches an image transfer position on the basis of the time detected in the detection step; calculating the time difference between the predicted time and an elapse time calculated on the basis of a paper carrying speed pattern which is previously stored and has at least two speeds; and controlling the paper carrying speed so that the calculated time difference becomes zero, thereby preventing any misregistration between a toner image and the paper.
