  • Patent number: 9972958
Abstract: The press-fitting device has: a base; a rear surface plate; and a vertical operation section and mounts PF terminals having a shoulder section and a PF section to the member to be mounted. Provided on the vertical operation section are: an insertion path wherein a continuous PF terminal body formed by consecutive PF terminals is inserted; a movable feeding means that feeds the continuous PF terminal body along; a dividing means that divides the continuous PF terminal body into individual PF terminals; and a mounting means that mounts the PF terminals to the mounting member. A fixed feeding means is fixed to the rear surface plate in a static state relative to the vertical operation section, and restricts continuous PF terminal body movement that is in conjunction with the vertical operation section. The PF terminals are mounted to the mounting member by the vertical movement of the vertical operation section.

  • Patent number: 7305758
Abstract: A terminal crimping device is used to manufacture an electric wire with terminal by crimping a terminal fitting onto an end portion of an electric wire. This device includes: an electric wire holding portion to hold the end portion of the electric wire at a predetermined crimping position; a terminal crimping portion to crimp the terminal fitting onto the end portion of the electric wire at the crimping position; and a crimping portion moving mechanism to move the terminal crimping portion along a crimping portion moving direction. The terminal crimping portion is provided to be movable with respect to the end portion of the electric wire held at the crimping position by the electric wire holding portion along the crimping portion moving direction that intersects with a direction along which the end portion of the electric wire extends.

  • Patent number: 6997620
Abstract: The optical plug includes a ferule, adapter housing, a plug body, a compression coil spring and a compression bonding sleeve. The plug body includes a projecting portion and an extending portion which is provided with a plurality of annular grooves. The compression bonding sleeve includes a crimp portion and a support portion. According to the present invention, the diameter of the crimp portion is uniformly narrowed so that the crimp portion compression-bonds the high tensile strength wires to the annular grooves of the extending portion. Accordingly, it is possible to maintain the deformation of the crimp portion within the limit of its plastic deformation and hence, the occurrence of cracks and rupture can be prevented, so that the optical plug can be miniaturized. Further, it is possible to mount the optical fiber cable to the optical plug at a low cost.
