  • Patent number: 8408844
Abstract: A steel material for an underground continuous wall equipped with a hat type steel sheet pile having a hat-shaped cross-section, and an H-beam having an H-shaped cross-section, wherein: the hat type steel sheet pile includes a web, a pair of flanges, and a pair of arm sections; the H-beam includes a pair of flange sections and a web section; an outer surface of the H-beam is secured to an outer surface of the web; the length of the H-beam is shorter than that of the hat type steel sheet pile, and an overall length of the H-beam is arranged within the length of the hat type steel sheet pile; and a rear end of the H-beam is located closer to a forward end side than a rear end of the hat type steel sheet pile.

  • Patent number: 6939086
Abstract: In a metal sheet pile, an effective width B [mm], a flange width Bf [mm], a height H [mm] and a geometrical moment of inertia I [cm4/m] meet the inequalities 700?B?1,200; 280?Bf?0.0005×B2?0.05×B; and ?0.073×B+0.0043×I+230?H?380. The metal sheet pile provides a better cross-sectional performance than a background art metal sheet pile.

  • Patent number: 6926470
Abstract: A metal sheet pile has an improved joint strength and is suitable for high productivity manufacturing. Right and left end flanges are formed at opposite sides of the rolled steel sheet pile. Joints are formed at edges of the right and left end flanges. Cross-sections of the joints are point-symmetric or line-symmetric, wherein the end flange and the joint are disposed so that a center of point-symmetry of a pair of interfitted joints is located on or near a centerline of the end flange in the thickness direction. Furthermore, the joint has a protrusion for preventing rotation near the border between the joint and the end flange portion.
