  • Publication number: 20150061287
Abstract: In the threaded joint for pipes, a coating having a Vickers hardness greater than or equal to 310 is formed on a threaded portion of the box and an inner face of the box corresponding to a seal portion. The seal interference amount ratio ?/D of the seal portion in a pipe circumferential direction is greater than or equal to 0.002, where D is a seal diameter defined as an outside diameter of the pin at a seal point that is a point on the outer peripheral face of the nose of the pin at which the outer peripheral face first comes into contact with the inner peripheral face of the nose of the box and ? is an interference amount defined as an amount by which the outside diameter at the seal point is reduced by the box when the pin and the box are threadedly connected with each other.

  • Publication number: 20140116560
Abstract: Radial seal type threaded joints for steel pipes have still room for improvement in ensuring sealability in terms of the rigidity of the pin nose. Specifically, the outer circumferential surface of the nose of the pin has an outward convex curved shape, and the sealing surface of the box has a tapered shape; and the cross-sectional area of the pin at a seal point that is a portion on the outer circumferential surface of the nose of the pin, the portion first coming into contact with the sealing surface of the box when threaded-joined, is 35% or more of the cross-sectional area of an original pipe portion corresponding to an unprocessed portion.

  • Publication number: 20140049045
Abstract: Provided is a threaded joint for steel pipes having high sealability even under a bending load. In the threaded joint, when a pin 3 and a box 1 are threadedly connected with each other, the outer peripheral face of a nose 8 of the pin and the inner peripheral face of a nose of the box are in metal-to-metal contact with each other at a contact portion and the contact portion serves as a seal portion 20. A threaded portion, at which the externally threaded portion 7 and the internally threaded portion 5 are threadedly connected with each other, has a negative load flank angle ?, shoulder portions 12 and 14 have a negative torque shoulder angle ?, and the ratio L/d0 of a length L of the nose and a pipe outside diameter d0 is equal to or higher than 0.08.

  • Publication number: 20040126609
Abstract: This invention provides a metal powder for powder magnetic cores, which have good insulation performance and high magnetic flux density, and which is favorable for motor cores. Ferromagnetic metal powder may be coated with a coating material and a phosphate or phosphoric acid compound containing aluminum is used for the coating material. Coating the surface of iron powder with aluminum phosphate realizes to produce high-quality powder magnetic cores that have good insulation performance and high magnetic flux density and are favorable for motor cores. Further coating the aluminum phosphate-coated metal powder with silane compound or surfactant realizes more stable compressed shaped articles of the powder. And the properties of the articles do not fluctuate while stored for, so long as they are resistant to moisture. This invention contributes to producing powder magnetic cores for motors, and to the process for powder magnetic cores, furthermore, to the related art field.

  • Publication number: 20030077448
Abstract: An iron-based powder including a heat-resistant insulate coating and a powder core are suggested. A paint containing silicone resin and pigment is added to a raw material powder primarily containing a ferromagnetic metal, especially, iron, agitation and mixing are performed and, thereafter, a drying treatment is performed so as to form a coating containing silicone resin and pigment on the surface of the iron-based powder. The ratio of the silicone resin content to the pigment content in the coating is preferably 0.01 or more, but less than 4.0 on a mass basis. The pigment is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal nitrides, metal carbides, minerals, and glass. The paint may be sprayed to the iron-based powder in a fluidized state. A coating containing at least one of Si compounds, Ti compounds, Zr compounds, P compounds, and Cr compounds may be formed as a lower layer of the aforementioned coating.
