  • Publication number: 20090134820
Abstract: A vehicle drive unit that includes a first rotary machine; an electric differential; a second rotary machine that transmits power from the electric differential to wheels via a first power transmission interrupt mechanism; a second power transmission interrupt mechanism that connects the second rotary machine to an input member of the electric differential; and a control device. The control device switches between a first operation mode, in which the first power interruption mechanism is in a power transmitting state and the second power interruption mechanism is in a power disconnected state, and a second operation mode, in which the first power interruption mechanism in a power disconnected state and the second power interruption mechanism in a power transmitting state. To avoid generation of a shock, the operation mode is switched when the torque of the second rotary machine is nearly 0.

  • Publication number: 20030011546
Abstract: A display device capable of controlling the cost increase and relieving the limitation of conversion colors is provided. The display device includes a light emitting diode (first light emitting diode) 6; an indicator portion 43 transilluminated by a light of a different color from that of an emission light from the light emitting diode 6; an illumination chamber 8 interposed between the indicator portion 43 and the light emitting diode 6 and serving to direct the light from the light emitting diode 6 to the indicator portion 43; and a fluorescent reflection film 9 formed on a wall of the illumination chamber 8 for converting the color of the light incident on the indicator portion 43.

  • Patent number: 5756919
Abstract: A musical sound generating system not requiring a memory unit or interpolation device for generating a tone having a tone color including a large number of harmonic components. The tone is generated with few operations and ready predictability of tone color. The musical sound generating system includes an adder for phase modulating a carrier wave by adding modulating wave data to carrier wave phase angle data; a pseudo-sinusoidal wave operator for outputting a pseudo-sinusoidal wave in response to phase-modulated carrier wave phase angle data from the adder; and a multiplier for generating a tone signal by multiplying the pseudo-sinusoidal wave by amplitude coefficient data. The pseudo-sinusoidal wave operator controls modulation of the pseudo-sinusoidal wave in accordance with a function modulation coefficient that is supplied to the operator as an external parameter.

  • Patent number: 5239028
Abstract: Provided herein are a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing at least an ultraviolet-stable polymerizable monomer and a cycloalkyl group-containing polymerizable monomer, a process for producing said copolymer, and a coating composition containing said copolymer. The copolymers retains outstanding weather resistance over a long period of time owing to the multiplicated effect of an ultraviolet-stable monomer and a cycloalkyl group-containing polymerizable monomer, and the coating composition containing the copolymer forms a coating film having superior gloss, buildability, solvent resistance, and chemical resistance.

  • Patent number: 5212953
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing evaporation of liquefied gas in a liquefied gas reservoir used for cooling an energy dispersive spectrometer type X-ray detector (EDS detector) and its control method. A cold head of a cryogenic refrigerator is disposed in an upper opening of the liquefied gas reservoir, the cryogenic refrigerator is adapted to be put into automatic operation depending on temperature inside the liquefied gas reservoir, wherein the automatic operation mode of the cryogenic refrigerator is put into rest by remote control during the use of the EDS detector, while the cryogenic refrigerator is put into automatic operation with a previous alarm issued when the temperature inside the liquefied gas reservoir increases over a set temperature with the EDS detector being out of use, thereby allowing vaporized gas to be reliquefied with gas consumption reduced.
