  • Publication number: 20110216510
Abstract: Electronic equipment includes a first water cutoff member and a second water cutoff member on the periphery of a hole communicating from outside with a space in which an electric component such as an electric circuit board is provided. This can prevent liquid, dust, and the like, which enter a first housing from outside, from entering the space. Thus, the electric component, etc. placed in the space can be prevented from being damaged due to an electric short-circuit.

  • Publication number: 20110216492
Abstract: Electronic equipment is obtained, which is capable of regulating the arrangement position of a connection cable connected to an antenna module and preventing antenna properties from being degraded by a positional shift of the connection cable. The electronic equipment includes a housing, an antenna module placed in an end portion of the housing, and a connection cable connecting the antenna module to another electric circuit, wherein a guide groove accommodating the connection cable and regulating an arrangement position of the connection cable is formed on the housing.

  • Publication number: 20110211300
Abstract: An electronic device includes: a first housing 1; a cover 11 capable of covering a portion of the first housing 1 to be covered; and a waterproofing member 12 placed around the portion to be covered. The cover 11 is displaceable between a closed position at which the cover covers the portion to be covered and an open position at which the cover opens the portion to be covered. The cover 11 is in contact with the waterproofing member 12 when it is at the closed position. Even if the number of terminals increases, since the waterproofing member 12 is provided on the first housing 1, the single waterproofing member can render all of the terminals waterproof. Thus, it is possible to reduce the number of components and to reduce the number of assembling steps.

  • Patent number: 7986513
Abstract: The battery pack holding mechanism according to the present invention Includes: a battery pack housing portion 4 in which a terminal electrode that is connected electrically to an electrode 12b of a connector is disposed and into which a battery pack is housed by being inserted along a pair of side walls 25a and 25b; and a holding member 31 that holds a battery pack 5 housed in the battery pack housing portion 4. The holding member 31 is disposed inside the pair of side walls 25a and 25b in the vicinity of the terminal electrode and has a pair of pinching portions 35a and 35b that are orthogonal to an insertion/removal direction in which the battery pack is inserted/removed and protrude toward opposed surfaces constituting an outer periphery of the battery pack, respectively. According to this configuration, the occurrence of a contact failure in a state where the battery pack is housed can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20100296235
Abstract: A notebook computer body is formed of a front casing and a rear casing having a keyboard. The computer body is provided on its rear surface with a protrusion having a substantially spherical surface and with a hand strap. The hand strap covers the protrusion and has an through hole, thereby allowing the user to securely hold the computer body in one hand.

  • Publication number: 20100045431
Abstract: The present invention relates to an information processing unit including a fingerprint sensor, and it includes further a handle that can be gripped by a user and supporting members that are fixed to protrude from a side face of a first case of the unit and that supports the handle. The fingerprint sensor is disposed on one of the supporting members. According to this configuration, the fingerprint sensor can be disposed at a position to reduce the possibility that a finger, a hand or the like of the user comes into accidental contact with the fingerprint sensor, thereby preventing operation errors and sensitivity degradation of the fingerprint sensor and also preventing any discomfort for the user during an operation of a keyboard and the like.

  • Patent number: 7626747
Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes an optical sheet for uniformly diffusing light toward a light-emitting face, and a resin frame onto which the optical sheet is attached. The optical sheet has the first fixing portion or the second fixing portion. The optical sheet is attached to the resin frame by fitting the first fixing portion or the second fixing portion to a concavity created at the resin frame at a part corresponding to the first fixing portion or the second fixing portion. At least one notch is created at a boundary area between a display area of the optical sheet and the first fixing portion or the second portion so that deformation in the optical sheet caused by a significant mechanical stress, such as drop impact, does not extend to the display area.
