Abstract: A single-lens reflex camera with a flash unit built into the camera body above the viewing pentaprism. The unit is movable from an operating position to a non-operating position, preferably enclosed in the camera body. The built-in flash unit may be automatically closed by inserting an external flash in a flash shoe. A display panel may be included on the top of the flash unit housing.

Abstract: A release device for unlocking the back-cover of a camera includes a back-cover lock member urged in a direction to lock the back-cover, an operating lever pivotally disposed along a side of the camera and operable externally of the camera so as to be angularly displaced therefrom and an interlocking plate for interlocking the operating lever with the back-cover lock member. The operating lever is engageable with the interlocking plate after the operating lever is angularly rotated through a predetermined preliminary angle in an opening direction from a position where the operating lever is disposed along the camera body so as to displace the interlocking plate and to correspondingly displace the lock member to thereby unlock the back-cover.

Abstract: An endless elongated strip storage apparatus includes a casing which defines a strip storage space. The casing has at least one peripheral wall which is oscillatable. Oscillation of the oscillatable wall contains a component in a tape feeding direction. The storage means includes means for exerting a force on the elongated strip including a component direction to the tape feeding direction for transferring the elongated strip, such as tape. The oscillatable wall is cooperative with the force exerting means to smoothly feed the tape from the inlet of the casing to the outlet of the casing.

Abstract: A programmable controller is provided with a controller body including a microprocessor having a ROM for storing user programs connected with a socket thereto. A programmer which is connected by a connector to a data bus or the controller body has a means to switch to a program mode to write a user program in a RAM by operating keys, and a test run mode to execute the user program written in RAM on the controller body, and a means to copy the user program written in RAM of the programmer to said ROM. The user program stored in ROM which is inserted in said socket is executed when the programmer is isolated from the controller body.

Abstract: A motor-driven film winder for use with a camera having a manual film winder wheel, includes a cover selectively movable between a first position in which it prevents access to the manual film winder wheel and a second position in which the manual film winder wheel is exposed to permit manual film winding. In response to movement of the cover into its second position, the motor-driven film winder is disabled.
