  • Patent number: 10783193
Abstract: A software service execution system includes: a software library storing software services, each obtaining and processing input data from a specified input URI (uniform resource identifier) and outputting the result to a specified output URI; a metadata graph representing the software services, each being identifiable by a predicate defining a relationship between a subject vertex and an object vertex, the subject vertex storing the specified input URI and being linked by a directed edge labelled with the predicate to the object vertex storing the specified output URI; a metadata graph query interface receiving a query requesting a queried vertex, linked by a defined traversal path along one or more edges to a source vertex; a software service execution controller controlling the execution of the software services identified by specified predicates labelling edges on the defined traversal path, in an order determined by the defined traversal path.

  • Patent number: 7409446
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a method and device for using network and computer resources effectively. Resources are spread out on network 3. Spread abroad herein are: structuralized documents d1, d2 on server 1a; structuralized documents d3, d4 on server 1b; and structuralized document d5 on server 1c. Server 1a, for example: 1) accepts a reference request for structuralized document d1 from client 2a; 2) acquires fragments f2, f3, f4, f5 for referee structuralized document d1 from server 1a itself and from other servers 1b,c; 3) embeds fragments f2-f5 in structuralized document d1; and 4) transmits embedding-processed structuralized document d1 to requester client 2a. A “fragment” here is all or a portion of a structuralized document.

  • Patent number: 7107517
Abstract: A link-processing device for displaying a summary of linked information before the link is called up is disclosed. The link processing device includes an acquisition module, an extracting module, and a displaying module. The acquisition module acquires structured information containing: link-generating information for generating links between multiple resources; and predetermined supplemental information indicating characteristics of the resource. A setting is provided for whether all resources are to be acquired or not. Based on this setting at least one resource is acquired and displayed. If all resources are to be acquired, the extracting module extracts a section of each resource except for the resource display object and/or extracts from the structured information supplemental information regarding each resource except for the resource display object.

  • Patent number: 6725423
Abstract: A display process is carried out in high speed without changing a structure of a structured document. Within structural information of a structured document, a paragraph-forming element is obtained in which forming of a paragraph is designated in style definition information corresponding thereto. When the display information of the obtained paragraph-forming element is matched, a program for determining a relative layout of the respective display information within the paragraph is performed independent from a layout routine of another paragraph-forming element. Another program for visually outputting such display information of the paragraph-forming element whose layout routine is accomplished is carried out after the layout routines for all of the paragraph-forming elements located up-rank from the current paragraph-forming element have been accomplished.

  • Patent number: 6599324
Abstract: In a document management apparatus for managing perusal and editing of documents, and a document management program storage medium for storing therein a document management program to manage perusal and editing of documents, a structured document is adopted to set up an access right for each structured part of the structured document. Thus, in the event that a plurality of persons are access to a single document, access rights are suitably applied to the plurality of persons.

  • Publication number: 20010011287
Abstract: In an apparatus defining a style specification for visually outputting a structured document, a group of samples which have been confirmed as having no errors in the notation are registered in regard to the specification information required for style specification. The group of samples is presented to a user when the user defines the style. The user is then capable of selecting a sample corresponding to the desired element forming the document from the group of samples, and is also capable of using it directly. Alternatively, the style specification of each element is generated only by correcting the content to the desired content and a style sheet of the object document can be generated automatically from the generated style specification group.

  • Patent number: 6175843
Abstract: The present invention reads structured information previously obtained through analysis of a structured document and determines whether the input structured information provides information regarding structure elements (and showing the structure of the structured document) or provides content information. When the structured information provides information for structure elements, then style definition information required for display or printing is obtained and compared with corresponding display attribute information. When the style definition information and the display attribute information do not match, the style definition information is set to a buffer area for use by a display or printing apparatus, thereby to realize a high speed display or printing operation.
