Patent number: 11932336Abstract: A method of properly aligning a sliding side door on a vehicle includes first preparing a prototype vehicle and determining how far out of alignment the door is to the body of the prototype vehicle. This amount of misalignment is then used to adjust the attachment position of an anchor plate to a sliding side door of the vehicle, so that the anchor plate is attached at a desired position to the production vehicle, which causes there to be no misalignment between the sliding side door and the body of the production vehicle. A jig is used to hold the anchor plate at the desired location while welding the anchor plate to the door. A roller assembly is then attached to the anchor plate and to a rail on a body of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Hiroshi Shingu, Joji Goto, Takashi Fukahori, Yuichiro Saiki, Masatoshi Adachi, Christopher T. Patent number: 8047315Abstract: In setting of an oil temperature increasing process mode, the drive control technique of the invention starts an engine to actuate a mechanical oil pump that pressure feeds a flow of lubricating oil for lubricating the mechanical parts of a transmission and other relevant parts, actuates an electric oil pump that pressure feeds the flow of lubricating oil, and makes a brake B1 included in the transmission in a semi-engagement state. A motor arranged adjacent to the transmission is then driven with lowered output efficiency. This arrangement effectively accelerates heat generation by the motor and ensures a quick temperature rise of the lubricating oil.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2006Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aisin AW Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazutoshi Motoike, Masatoshi Adachi, Yumi Iraha, Jun Ichiyanagi, Satoru Wakuta, Kenji Omote, Masanori Onoda

Patent number: 7775336Abstract: Lubricating oil supply holes are drilled into a first member that is fitted to a plurality of first annular plates by a spline. Of splines to which each lubricating oil supply hole corresponds, lubricating oil grooves provided in the plurality of first annular plates do not overlap the splines on at least one of the front and rear surfaces of the first annular plates, and therefore lubricating oil flowing out of the lubricating oil supply holes is dispersed in a circumferential direction and flows from the inner periphery to the outer periphery of the first annular plates, rather than gathering in each lubricating oil groove and flowing in an outer peripheral direction. As a result, a force generated by an axial lubricating oil flow, which acts in a direction for causing the second annular plates to contact friction materials on the first annular plates, is suppressed, leading to a reduction in drag torque.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2007Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Assignees: Aisin AW Co., Ltd., Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aishin Kako Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masaaki Nishida, Satoru Kasuya, Masashi Kito, Yoshihisa Yamamoto, Akitomo Suzuki, Masato Fujikawa, Ryuji Ibaraki, Masatoshi Adachi, Tsuyoshi Mikami, Hideo Ono

Patent number: 7597165Abstract: In response to the driver's gearshift operation from a parking position to a drive position, the control procedure of the invention controls a motor connected to a transmission to output a center adjustment torque Tset, while the transmission is in a state of disconnecting the motor from an axle of a hybrid vehicle. The control procedure adjusts the rotation centers of respective rotational elements in the transmission by rotating the respective rotational elements, and then initiates gradual engagement of a brake to set the transmission in a low gear position. This arrangement desirably retains deviation of the rotation centers of the respective rotational elements in the transmission and prevents potential troubles due to the eccentric rotation centers of the respective rotational elements in the transmission.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2005Date of Patent: October 6, 2009Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabuhsiki KaishaInventors: Jiro Kaneko, Masatoshi Adachi
