  • Patent number: 7914300
Abstract: A structure for screw-tightening and connecting a terminal to an electrical junction box is provided. The terminal mounting structure in the electrical junction box ensures mounting operation with an insertion direction of the terminal obliquely oriented, and prevents heating of the terminal due to power supply. The terminal is secured and connected to a busbar of the junction box by a bolt, with a head and a shaft of the bolt inserted into a vertical opening and a horizontal notched hole of the terminal, respectively. A pair of opposed guiding walls are provided on a junction box body at both sides of the bolt. The guiding wall includes an entrance's side sloping surface obliquely extending from top to bottom, and a straight horizontal surface continuing to the sloping surface. The terminal includes a pair of outward projecting pieces at an upper portion to be slid on the sloping surface and the horizontal surface.

  • Patent number: 7622671
Abstract: A junction block includes attaching brackets projected from the upper wall and lower wall of a block body. The block body is attached to a body panel through the attaching brackets. The attaching bracket to be pulled is provided with a recess 15b and/or a hole 15a for inducing rupture. When a wire harness derived from the block body is pulled in a vehicle width direction during recovery of the junction block, the block body is ruptured-separated from the attaching bracket at the recess 15b and/or hole 15c. In such a configuration, the block body can be rupture-separated only during recovery of a junction box body without being ruptured-separated owing to vibration/shock during vehicle running to improve recovery workability and recycling property.

  • Patent number: 7581981
Abstract: An electrical junction box has a fitting member for securing the junction box to a vehicle body. The fitting member has a breakdown accelerating portion for enhancing breakdown of the fitting member when the junction box is pulled to remove it from the vehicle body. The breakdown accelerating portion is positioned in a base side of the fitting piece. By a transverse force caused by pulling an associated wiring harness, the breakdown accelerating portion initiates breakdown of a bracket to separate the junction box from the bracket. Another fitting device has a fitting member formed on a junction box for securing the junction box to a vehicle body. The fitting member has a slot for enhancing breakdown of the fitting member when the junction box is pulled to remove the junction box from the vehicle body, and the fitting member has a compensating piece removably inserted into the slot for adjusting the breakdown of the fitting member.
