  • Patent number: 8413983
Abstract: An image forming apparatus, including: a conveyor mechanism; a motor driver; and a controller for implementing a sheet-conveyance related control by execution of motor control processing in which a control input for a motor is calculated, wherein the controller implements the motor control processing in each sheet conveyance operation such that the control input is repeatedly calculated for conveying the sheet to a target stop position and for keeping the sheet located at the position, and wherein, in the motor control processing, the controller calculates the control input such that, after the sheet has reached the target stop position, the control input is equal to a hold control input required for keeping the sheet located at the position and such that, at a start point of the processing, the control input is not smaller than the hold control input in the processing in a previous sheet conveyance operation.

  • Patent number: 8033541
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a tray, a sheet conveying path through which sheets are conveyed, a sheet feeding unit including a sheet feed roller for feeding a first sheet to a sheet holding position, a sheet conveying unit having a conveyor roller that intermittently rotates and holds the sheets. The sheet conveying unit is upstream from a recording position, and downstream from the sheet feeding unit. The image forming apparatus also includes a recording unit, and a controller. The recording unit forms an image onto the first sheet while the conveyor roller is not rotating. The sheet feeding unit feeds a leading edge of a second sheet to the sheet conveying unit and maintains the leading edge of the second sheet colliding against the sheet conveying unit at the sheet holding position by rotating the sheet feed roller prior to completing image formation on the first sheet.

  • Patent number: 6652238
Abstract: A high-pressure, dome-type compressor includes a DC motor 5 having a rotor 5a that uses a rare earth/iron/boron permanent magnet having an intrinsic coercive force of 1.7 MA.m−1 or greater in a rotor thereof and has a rated output or 1.9 kW or higher. The motor, which drives a compression element 3 in a casing 2, is disposed in a high pressure, high temperature area 6, which is filled with gas discharged from the compression element. An inverter 10 controls current supplied to the motor such that the motor temperature becomes equal to or less than a predetermined temperature and an opposing magnetic field generated in a stator has a predetermined strength or less. Since the magnet does not reach a high temperature and is not exposed to a strong opposing magnetic field, it is hardly demagnetized. As a result, performance of the motor and of the compressor is stable.

Abstract: There is provided a high-pressure dome type compressor which comprises a motor using a rare earth magnet and has stable performance. There are provided a compression element 3 and a DC motor 5 for driving the compression element 3 in a casing 2. The motor 5 is disposed in a high pressure area 6, which obtains a high temperature and high pressure due to a discharged gas. The motor 5 includes a rare earth/iron/boron permanent magnet having an intrinsic coercive force of 1.7 MA/m−1 or greater in a rotor and has a rated output or 1.9 kW or higher. An inverter 10 controls a current to be supplied to the motor 5 such that a temperature of the motor 5 becomes equal to a predetermined temperature or lower and that an opposing magnetic field generated in a stator of the motor 5 has a predetermined strength or less. Therefore, since the rare earth magnet of the motor 5 does not obtain a high temperature and is not exposed to a strong opposing magnetic field, the magnet is hardly demagnetized.

  • Patent number: 5542170
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting connecting portions of an insulation sheet into slots of a stator core. A housing and a blade grip the insulation sheet by the slit in each of its connecting portions. The housing and the blade are then turned so that the blade engages a tooth of the stator core. The sheet is then bent by a deformation member such that the intermediate area of each body portion of the sheet is deformed and the opposite end areas of each body portion conform to the inside diameter portion of the stator core. Finally, the insulation sheet is moved into the core and the strips of each connecting portion are pushed into the predetermined slots.

  • Patent number: 4555743
Abstract: A timer circuit suitable for operating, for a required period of time, the windshield defrosting heater in an automobile, comprises a switch operative only in one direction, such as a momentary unidirection switch, a timer which starts timing operation after a lapse of a predetermined time, and a flip-flop circuit or the like. The switch allows setting and cancelling for timing operation, whereby the operative characteristics are improved and the mechanical design is simplified. Moreover, the use of a flip-flop circuit reduces the occurrence of chattering.
