  • Patent number: 6024438
Abstract: A plurality of heads with a plurality types of ink each having a different density for the same color filled therein and ejecting the ink are provided, and also a control means for controlling volume of ink drops ejected for each dot is provided. When forming a pixel, a head is selected by the control means with volume of ink drops ejected from each head controlled, and two or more types of ink are ejected at one position with varied dot diameter for representation of density gradations.

  • Patent number: 5533186
Abstract: An image filing method, in which a plurality of images are registered one by one, and the registered images are retrieved by adding a retrieval condition so as to be simple and not require time and labor at the registration and retrieval times. A plurality of symbols for featuring objects in the images are set in advance, and the images are registered corresponding to the selected symbols. At the image retrieval time, the symbols are selected, and the images corresponding to the selected symbols are read out.

  • Patent number: 5350915
Abstract: An image sensor uses an image reading element formed by integrating pixels for converting image information to an electric signal. In each of the pixels, a common electrode common to all the pixels and an individual electrode corresponding to each of the pixels are disposed through at least an organic photoconductive layer. A crosstalk capacitance of each of the pixels is equal to or smaller than 35% of a sum of an electric capacitance between individual electrodes and an output capacitance of the individual electrode. A blocking layer may be disposed between the common and individual electrodes. Each of the pixels may be constructed such that the individual electrode is arranged on a supporting body, and a blocking layer and the photoconductive layer are formed on the individual electrode, and the common electrode is arranged on the blocking and photoconductive layers.

  • Patent number: 5237401
Abstract: A color image reading apparatus includes a multi-chip image sensor having a plurality of image sensor units adapted to read a test chart comprising a color slip having a plurality of colors. A processing circuit is provided for automatically calculating color correcting coefficients, respectively, for the plurality of image sensors and storing them in memory. This will reduce problems of color reproducibility among image sensors and among image reading apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5191409
Abstract: In a color scanning system according to this invention, signals from the detectors of an image sensor for converting a color image into electric signals are subjected to specified processing, thereby to sharply reduce noise at the contour part of the image.

  • Patent number: 4992860
Abstract: In a color scanning system for producing color signals for an original scanned by an array of picture elements made up of multiple detectors with color filters, color distortion at boundaries between regions of different colors is reduced by means of signal processing. Differences in a brightness signal between adjacent picture elements are used to determine whether signals attributed to a detector of a given picture element will be signals detected on that detector or on a respective detector of an adjacent picture element, or a signal interpolated between signals from that detector and respective detectors of adjacent picture elements or between the respective detectors and a reference point. In a another embodiment, detectors in a row on picture elements are arranged in first and second rows. Each of the first and second rows has a charge coupled device (CCD) for storing color signals produced by the detectors in each row and for shifting the stored signals out.

  • Patent number: 4322057
Abstract: In an electromagnetically operated valve unit, a stationary core and a spring loaded moving-core are coaxially arranged within an axial bore extending across a lateral plate member of magnetic material, and a U-shaped yoke member of magnetic material has a head portion engaged with the stationary core and a pair of longitudinal arms which are supported by the opposite ends of the lateral plate member and fastened to a bracket. The lateral plate member is formed at its opposite ends with a pair of arms which are engaged with each outer face of the respective arms of the yoke member to uniform a magnetic path of the solenoid coil across the cores, the lateral plate member and the yoke member.
