Abstract: A training machine 10 is for training the muscles of an upper body of a training person M sitting on a seat unit 50 provided in a machine main body, and is provided with an arm unit 60 disposed in the vicinity of the left and right sides of the seat unit 50, having a specified length and capable of making rotational movements against a specified load. The arm unit 60 has the bottom end thereof rotatably supported about shaft tubes 62 extending in horizontal transverse direction and has such a curved shape that a middle part thereof bulges out forward, and the leading end portions thereof serve as grips 611, 612. An electrical load generating unit 80 is provided to electrically give a load in accordance with an external force exerted to the arm unit 60, and locks the rotation of the arm unit 60 at a position where the portions of the arm unit 60 in the vicinity of the leading ends thereof are substantially horizontally held.

Abstract: A training apparatus comprises a seat 32 mounted on an apparatus body, a training mechanism disposed in front of the seat 32 and provided with a mechanism adapted to exercise legs of a user, a load-applying unit adapted to apply a braking force to a movement of the training mechanism in an electrically adjustable manner, and a tilt adjustment unit adapted to tiltingly move a front end of the seat in a vertical direction. The training apparatus of the present invention allows a user, even an elderly person or a person who requires assistance to readily sit on the seat without an unnatural or forced physical posture.

Abstract: Disclosed is a training apparatus, which comprises a seat unit 30 including a seat 35 allowing a user M to sit thereon, a foot plate 42 adapted to allow the user M sitting on the seat 35 to keep his/her feet bottoms in contact therewith, a displacement mechanism unit 38 adapted to apply to the user M a load against a straining force generated when the user M sitting on the seat 35 while keeping the feet bottoms in contact with the foot plate 42 strains his/her legs, and a base board 20 mounting thereon the above components. The foot plate 42 is adapted to be changed in posture between a horizontal posture T1 where it protrudes approximately horizontally and outwardly from a pair of footrest frames 41 mounted on the base board 20, and a vertical posture T2 where it protrudes approximately vertically and upward from the footrest frames 41 at approximately the same height level as a that of the seat 35.
