  • Publication number: 20050039355
Abstract: Illumination section is provided forwardly of an engine. Cover member collectively covers the engine and illumination section and includes a light transmitting section which passes therethrough light projected by the illumination section and has a through-hole for letting out hot air. Battery is positioned on a blower housing, and the illumination section is provided over the battery. Battery locking member for holding the battery in a battery holder is formed of an insulative resin material, and the illumination section is mounted on the locking member. The locking member is hinged at one end to the holder. Partition wall is provided between the engine and battery for blocking heat transferred from the engine toward the battery.

  • Patent number: 6722445
Abstract: Front-rotary working machine employs a vertical engine having an output shaft projecting downward, and a transmission case, provided beneath the vertical engine, has a flat underside so as to extend generally parallel to the ground surface to be cultivated. Distance between left and right transporting wheels, connected to a driving shaft at a rear end portion of the transmission case, can be reduced as necessary. With these arrangements, it is possible to reduce the overall width of the front-rotary working machine.

  • Patent number: 6488101
Abstract: A tiller for cultivating soil has a power source and a tilling shaft mounted for undergoing rotation by a driving force supplied from the power source. The tilling shaft has a hollow outer shaft and an inner shaft extending through the outer shaft. The inner shaft has a variable rotating speed and/or direction of rotation relative to the outer shaft. A power transmission mechanism transmits a driving force from the power source to the tilling shaft. The power transmission mechanism has a first power transmission system for transmitting the driving force from the power source to the outer shaft and a second power transmission system transmitting the driving force from the power source to the inner shaft. The second power transmission system has a hydrostatic transmission comprised of a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor for effecting a stepless change of the rotating speed of the inner shaft as well as a selective change of its direction of rotation.
