  • Patent number: 8580235
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to establish means for reliably incorporating a poorly soluble UV-absorbing agent into a hair cosmetic composition, to thereby provide a hair cosmetic composition which has excellent effect of preventing UV-hair damage and which exhibits favorable sensation in use thereof. Specifically, the object can be attained through provision of a hair cosmetic composition including the following ingredients (1) and (2): (1) a polyoxy(lower alkylene) addition compound represented by formula (I): wherein R represents a phytosterol residue or a phytostanol residue; m is a number from 0 to 100; and n is a number from 5 to 100, and (2) a UV-absorbing agent having a triazine group.

  • Patent number: 8367082
Abstract: The present invention provides a microgel having a mean particle size of 0.1-1,000 ?m, the microgel being produced from a gel which is formed by use of a hydrophilic compound capable of forming a gel. An external composition containing the microgel provides an excellent sensation during use; i.e., the composition provides neither sticky sensation during use nor frictional sensation. Furthermore, even when a large amount of a pharmaceutical ingredient, such as a whitening ingredient, or a salt is incorporated into the composition, the viscosity of the composition is not lowered, and the composition exhibits excellent viscosity increasing property. In addition, the composition exhibits long-term stability, without inviting separation of water.

  • Publication number: 20110129429
Abstract: When a poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber is used, it is difficult to solubilize a sufficient amount of the poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber by using a surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or a polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil. Thus, an object aims to provide a water-containing composition in which a poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber is solubilized or dispersed in water. Another object aims to dissolve a poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber in water and allow the poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber to co-exist with a water-soluble component such as a water-soluble medicinal agent and a water-soluble dye in the water to thereby stabilize the water-soluble component.

  • Patent number: 7166136
Abstract: A hair dye composition comprising a component (A), which is a specified long-chain acyl sulfonic acid salt anionic surfactant, in an amount of 0.1 to 10.0 wt. %; a component (B), which is an aliphatic alcohol, in an amount of 0.25 to 25.0 wt. %; and a component (C), which is an acid dye and/or a natural dyestuff. The hair dye composition is stable even in a strongly acidic region (pH 1.5 to 4.5) where it exerts a dyeing effect. It has an appropriate viscosity and provides excellent sensation upon use. Furthermore, the composition can be easily rinsed off after use thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050183671
Abstract: An electric heater is placed so as to cover an upper opening of a crucible. Then, a plurality of angle members are disposed along the side portions of the electric heater and are pressed and fixed by clamps. The clamp includes, at its bottom, a curved portion formed by bending a plate-like spring member into a convex shape, and generates pressing force between the curved portion and corresponding claw portions at the upper edge, thereby clamping the crucible.

  • Patent number: 6911094
Abstract: An evaporation apparatus comprises an elongated crucible having an upper opening and storing an evaporation material, an electric heater which covers the upper opening of the elongated crucible, generates heat by causing electric current to flow therein for heating the evaporation material stored in the crucible, and has an opening through which the evaporation material which is vaporized by heating can pass through, and a fixing member for pressing and fixing the electric heater onto the elongated crucible. Further, between the fixing member and the electric heater, an angle member having surface portions respectively fitting onto an edge portion of the upper surface and an upper portion of the side surface of the elongated crucible is provided along the longitudinal direction of the elongated crucible. A pressing force from the fixing member is made to exert onto the electric heater via the angle member to bring the electric heater into close contact with the elongated crucible.

  • Patent number: 6849832
Abstract: When electric current is caused to flow in an electric heater which is disposed on an elongated crucible, an evaporation material stored within the crucible and located under the electric heater is heated and the evaporation material is vaporized and discharged through an opening of the electric heater. Because a metal coating is applied to the outer surface of the elongated crucible, external radiation of heat from the crucible is reduced, and the heat generated by the electric heater is more efficiently used to increase the temperature of the evaporation material. In this manner, efficient heating for the interior of the elongated crucible and uniform temperature within the crucible can be achieved.
