  • Publication number: 20030167787
Abstract: A refrigerator is improved in storage environment by suppressing drying and oxidation and enhanced in volume efficiency and cooling efficiency. The refrigerator includes a refrigerating chamber, a vegetable chamber, and a freezing chamber in order from its top to its bottom. Cool air is introduced into the freezing chamber by a first cooler and a first fan, and is introduced into the refrigerating chamber by a second cooler and a second fan. These chambers function as a direct cooling chamber. The vegetable chamber functions as an indirect cooling chamber cooled by a cooling plate which is disposed at the top of the chamber and has a large thermal conductivity, which is cooled by forced convection by the second cooler and the second fan, producing the effects of low temperature radiation and natural convection in the chamber.

  • Patent number: 6195942
Abstract: A refrigerator door (17) includes an outer plate (6); an inner plate (7); a heat-insulating element (18) filling a gap between the outer plate (6) and the inner plate (7); and a gasket (21) provided between an outer housing (2) of a refrigerator main body (1) and a surface of the refrigerator door (17) facing the outer housing (2). The gasket (21) includes a housing engaging portion for sealing a gap between the outer housing (2) of the refrigerator main body (1) and the surface of the refrigerator door (17) facing the outer housing (2) and an anchor (23) for securing the gasket (21) in a groove (22) formed in the refrigerator door (17). The anchor (23) has a pair of fins (24), the fins of the pair projecting in opposite directions from each other, and is secured in the groove (22) by contact of the pair of fins (24) to inner walls of the groove (21) facing each other.

  • Patent number: 6101819
Abstract: A temperature control device is provided in a refrigerator having at least one compartment (RC or FC) defined by top, bottom and opposite side walls (TW; BW; and SW), and a heat insulating material (12) exteriorly encircling the compartment. One of the side walls (SW) has a mounting hole (2) defined therein and a front surface thereof confronts the compartment (RC or FC). The device includes a box-like console (C), and a circuit carrier board (3) fixedly connected to a rear surface of the console (C). Electric wiring (11) extends outwardly from the circuit carrier board, and a display panel (30) is disposed on a front surface of the console (C). At least one manipulatable temperature control element (31a, 31b, 31c: PB, LED) is mounted on the console (C), and a hat-like console casing (13) having a peripheral flange (10) is fixedly secured to the side wall (SW) in alignment with the mounting hole (2).

  • Patent number: 5284325
Abstract: An electric hoist comprising an electric motor and a sheave driven by the electric motor via a reduction gear. The reduction gear comprises a pair of helical gears meshing with each other. One of the helical gears is axially movably arranged on a shaft and is moved in the axial direction thereof when there is a load on the load chain supported by the sheave, and when the axial movement of the movable helical gear is detected by a sensor, the speed of rotation of the electric motor is automatically changed from a higher speed to a lower speed.

  • Patent number: 5243834
Abstract: The low temperature food storage equipment of the present invention is provided with an icehouse and a food storeroom each surrounded by a heat insulator. The icehouse and the storeroom are connected by a detachable heat exchanger disposed therebetween. In the icehouse there is stored water which is frozen into ice when the outside air grows cold. In the storeroom there are kept in cold storage a large amount of shippable food, for example, potatoes. In the case of shipping the food, the heat exchanger is removed and the food is transported on a truck or the like while being kept in cold storage in the storeroom.
