  • Patent number: 5617158
Abstract: A motion picture film capable of reproducing the sound field full of ambience in the reproducing system. The digital sound tracks 5L and 5R, on which digital audio data have been recorded, are recorded so that temporally same digital audio signals are recorded with a spatial shift by a preset distance along the film running direction.

  • Patent number: 5537165
Abstract: In a motion picture film of the present invention, audio data digitized from right channel analog audio signals is held in a recording region provided in a left channel digital sound track having the left channel audio data recorded in it, while audio data digitized from left channel analog audio signals is held in a recording region provided in a right channel digital sound track having the right channel audio data recorded in it. With a reproducing system for reproducing the motion picture film of the present invention, unless the left and right channels are destroyed simultaneously, the audio data reproduced from the sound track is used in substitution for the audio data from the destroyed channel to compensate for playback sound interruption.

  • Patent number: 4996560
Abstract: An apparatus for exposing of an image of an original film on photosensitive material, the film and the photosensitive material being held together by vacuum contact between a transparent plate and a flexible sheet. The apparatus includes a squeegee unit which moves while pressing the flexible sheet. The squeegee unit forcibly moves the air, thereby speeding up the setting of the vacuum contact. The apparatus also includes a speed changing unit for changing the speed of the squeegee unit depending on the resistance of the air to movement. If the air moves easily, the squeegee unit moves rapidly. If the air does not move easily, the squeegee unit moves slowly, or the squeegee unit stops for a prescribed period and then, after the air is removed, is restarted. Thus, complete removal of air is carried out rapidly.

  • Patent number: 4687313
Abstract: An apparatus for processing sensitive materials has a tank in which film containing a sensitive material is conveyed, the film passing through a processing bath while guided by conveying rollers, and at least one wiper coming into contact with at least one of the conveying rollers facing to a film surface of the sensitive material. A flow of processing solution is produced by at least one inlet or jet in the region where contact occurs between a wiper and a conveying roller, so that any material wiped off the roller is removed away from the contacting region.
