  • Publication number: 20030056361
Abstract: This invention is directed to a method for manufacturing metal which includes a step of melting a forged material, and a step of casting a molten forged material to obtain a preform made of forged material, and a step of forging the preform made of forged material, and an apparatus therefor. The preform made of forged material comprises one or more of standardized preforms made of forged material having an approximately cylindrical form with the same cross sectional shape, but a different length. According to the present method and the present apparatus, one may produce metal products to which excellent mechanical properties are impaired by subjecting standardized preforms to the forging treatment with an improved productivity and reduced production cost.

  • Publication number: 20030039324
Abstract: Coding section 205 recodes decoded data stored in decoded data storage section 204, data conversion section 206 converts data “0” and “1” output from coding section 205 to “1” and “−1” respectively, sum-of-product calculation section 207 multiplies the data output from data conversion section 206 by the demodulated data (soft decision value) stored in demodulated data storage section 201 and then calculates the sum of the products for 1 TTI and stores the sum-of-product result for each data rate, data rate decision section 208 decides the data rate corresponding to a maximum value of the sum-of-product results as the data rate of the demodulated data. This makes it possible to improve the accuracy of data rate decision and reduce decoding errors of a received signal.

  • Patent number: 6526271
Abstract: A small number of users who provide high interference in the other users, such as a user transmitting a high rate signal, are selected beforehand. First, a signal of the user is demodulated to generate a replica, and a difference between a received signal and the replica is calculated, thereby canceling the interference in signals of the other users, and further improving the system capacity.

  • Patent number: 6522869
Abstract: Signals subjected to orthogonal modulation with a plurality of carrier frequencies are added to detect peak power. Based on the peak power, a coefficient for suppressing an amplitude of a transmission baseband signal is calculated. Using the coefficient, the amplitude of a baseband signal to be inputted to a filter is suppressed. It is thereby possible to suppress the peak power assuredly, and by the effects of the filter, unnecessary frequencies are not generated.

  • Patent number: 6493330
Abstract: A base station transmits, in addition to a pilot channel, signals which are multiplexed with pilot symbols inserted in the respective signals in communication channels. As the transmission of the pilot channel as a reference signal for coherent detection is unnecessary with high power so as to attain high reliability, the pilot channel can be transmitted with low power by means of weight in comparison with the communication channel, so that interference with the communication channel of any other station is reduced. Moreover, accurate coherent detection can be made from the pilot symbol inserted in the communication channel on the mobile station side.

  • Publication number: 20020087490
Abstract: An external storage device of a component cost estimation system stores various cost information representing a component material and its cost in association with each other, and a component manufacturing step and a cost involved in the step in association with each other. An information processing apparatus specifies a material of a component to be manufactured, and a plurality of manufacturing steps. Then, the information processing apparatus retrieves a cost of the specified material, and costs corresponding to the specified manufacturing steps from the cost information, and estimates a cost of the component based on the retrieved costs. The cost of the component is computed by adding up the cost of the material and the costs involved in all the manufacturing steps.
