  • Patent number: 4727490
Abstract: A control device for use in a cargo handling vehicle in which a single power plant provides both the vehicle drive and the power to the cargo handling device has a continuously variable transmission. The cargo handling device is actuated by means of a hydraulic pump. Whether or not the cargo handling device is in operation the operator need not adjust the degree of depression of a drive pedal to maintain constant vehicle speed because automatic compensation means are provided for that purpose. The demands upon the vehicle operator are accordingly reduced.

  • Patent number: 4722312
Abstract: An electro-pressure conversion control device comprising a fluid passage formed in a device body, which fluid passage includes a fluid inlet at one end, a throttle, a jetting hole at the other end, and a control pressure taking port provided between said throttle and said jetting hole and a plate which is driven by an electrical actuator in such a manner as to go across the axis of the jetting hole thereby to open and close the jetting hole whereby the jetting hole operates as a variable throttle. The plate is displaced in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the jetting hole by the electrical actuator to control the degree of opening of the jetting hole thereby to control the pressure in the fluid passage between the throttle and the jetting point so as to provide a pressure which varies according to an electrical signal applied to the electrical actuator.

  • Patent number: 4721253
Abstract: An intermittent type swirl injection nozzle providing substantially improved spray characteristics while being easy to manufacture and install. The nozzle includes a nozzle body and a needle valve slidably disposed in a guide hole of the nozzle body with a spray hole communicating a body seat formed inside the nozzle body and the forward end of the needle valve. A swirl passage is provided around the needle valve for giving a swirl flow influence around the axis of the needle valve to fuel when the needle valve is lifted from the body seat. A straight passage is provided in a portion where the inner wall of the guide hole and the needle valve make sliding contact for giving the fuel a straight flow influence in the axial direction of the needle valve. The two flows are joined prior to passing through the spray hole.

  • Patent number: 4675827
Abstract: This invention relates to a cargo-handling vehicle equipped with a cargo-handling apparatus and having a single power plant adapted to commonly drive a hydraulic pump for driving and a hydraulic pump for cargo-handling. A driving command signal in the form of an analog or digital electric signal output from a driving operation device in response to the operated amount thereof is output to first conversion means. The first conversion means converts the driving command signal or the operated amount of the driving operation device to power plant revolution data for driving which is determined by the preset function, and then outputs the data to selection means. A cargo-handling command signal in the form of an analog or digital electric signal output from a cargo-handling operation device in response to the operated amount thereof is output to second conversion means.

  • Patent number: 4633830
Abstract: A direct injection internal combustion engine of a compression ignition type in which portions of an injected fuel spray which have not been evaporated are prevented from striking the walls of the combustion chamber, and the fuel spray is prevented from catching up the air around it when moving in the combustion chamber, thereby providing an engine having reduced combustion noise, reduced amount of smoke and noxious emissions, and improved fuel economy. A combustion chamber is formed in the piston substantially in the form of a spherical cavity gradually narrowing towards the opening of the cavity at the top surface of the piston. An air intake mechanism swirls intake air supplied to the combustion chamber. A swirl injector injects a fuel spray substantially in the form of a hollow cone having a velocity component in a direction tangential of the central axis of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4629127
Abstract: An intermittent swirl type injection valve having a spray angle, capacity coefficient and fuel spray travel distance set so that the valve produces optimum engine operating conditions, with the spray angle, capacity coefficient and fuel spray travel distances being determined taking into account the gap area A.sub.c, the spray hole diameter d.sub.e, and the area A.sub.g of tangential passages in the valve. The injection valve includes a valve body and a valve needle slidably fitted in a valve hole formed in the valve body. A spray hole in the valve body merges with a valve seat provided at an end of the valve hole, and the spray hole is shaped to receive the lower end of the valve needle. Tangential passages swirl the fuel when the needle valve leaves the valve seat to open the valve to spray fuel substantially conically through the spray hole. The injection valve is designed so as to satisfy the following conditions:.alpha.=20.degree. to 75.degree.,d.sub.e =0.3 to 1.2 mm,and ##EQU1## where .alpha.

  • Patent number: 4564073
Abstract: An improvement of a plow or a harrow of the type in which a plurality of saucer-like disks carried by a rotary shaft inclined at an angle with respect to the direction of travel of a tractor are forced to rotate, thereby plowing uncultivated farm land. The plurality of disks or disk gang is supported by a parallel linkage system and the angle of the disk gang with respect to the direction of travel of the tractor can be freely selected so that, in accordance with the skill of an operator and soil condition which will be encountered, either the horizontal travel or the inclined travel may be selected.

  • Patent number: 4189160
Abstract: A sealing cup to be used for a hydraulic piston-cylinder device the cup having an outer lip with a leading edge adapted to slide along a wall when fitted in the device. The angle .alpha. of the leading edge with respect to the cylinder axis is made smaller than the angle of a portion other than the leading edge with respect thereto, and is made as 1.degree..ltoreq..alpha..ltoreq.15.degree. in the free condition of the cup. When the sealing cup is installed to be slid in the cylinder, a wedge-shaped clearance is formed between the leading edge and the cylinder wall due to provision of the angle .alpha., thereby admitting the fluid therein to decrease the slide resistance of the sealing cup.
