Abstract: A method or apparatus for viewing information stored in a specified folder-tree on a hierarchy form composed by a plurality of forms, wherein tagname-chains are obtained by merging one or more child-folder-name-chains, thereafter the tagname-chains are located on constituent forms of the hierarchy form in such a way that a first tagname-chain provided as a condition tagname with a tagname belonging to another second tagname-chain is located only on open forms, and an icon of information stored in the folder-tree is displayed in a cell of an open form, the full-pathname of which is in a specified relation with a set of the tagnames located in specified positions to the cell of the open form and the cell specified for the opening on the parent form, resulting in a decrease of a number of tagname-chains which users have to search in finding desired information on the hierarchy form.

Abstract: A step or means for associating a file with a cell in a table format by, for example, pasting an icon representing the file, wherein related data to be simultaneously referenced along with the data in the cell with which the file is associated is read according to a data entry positioning rule of a table format. Further, the step/means indicates merging file common condition data with record data in the file by adding the read related data to its each constituent record as the common condition value of the data file with which the corresponding cell is associated, and includes naming a file by converting a character string representing the read related data into a character string according to a prescribed rule and positioning it in a predetermined position in a template character string.

Abstract: Problem The object is to provide a method wherein in a file managing method using a composite file managing table form generated by combining a plurality of table formats hierarchically wherein users cannot figure visibly the totality of stored files, while they can manage the files without a restriction of the number of managing item names, users can fetch and store icons of managed files speedily with little effort of user operation and further can reconstruct the hierarchical constitution freely and speedily with good man-machine interface.

Abstract: [Problems] Although merging of file common condition data with record data in a file and naming of the file are routine work in handling many similar files, the routine work conventionally requires substantial trouble, thereby bringing a feeling of troublesomeness to the end user.
