  • Patent number: 5547488
Abstract: Ejection material in powder form used in mechanical plating, each particle of the ejection material being made of an iron alloy core covered with a zinc alloy layer and conducted with thermal treatment at a temperature between 300.degree. and 700.degree. C. so that the zinc alloy layer has the Vicker's hardness of 60 to 370.

  • Patent number: 5354579
Abstract: Mechanical plating method for forming a zinc alloy film by ejecting powder onto a surface. Ejection powder is made by mixing iron or iron alloy nuclei with zinc alloy melt, cooling to form a solidified alloy, and crushing. The ejection powder is then heat treated between 300.degree. C. and 700.degree. C. to adjust the Vicker's hardness of the zinc alloy to between 60 and 370.

  • Patent number: 4714622
Abstract: A blast material for the mechanical plating and a continuous mechanical plating process. The blast material comprises up to 90% by weight of steel shot not less than 10% by weight of an alloy powder which comprises 2.5-50% by weight of iron, not more than 5% by weight of at least one of aluminum, copper, tin, magnesium and silicon, the balance being zinc, and has a maximum particle size of about 0.4 mm and an average hardness of 140-450 Hv., The continuous mechanical process comprises continuing blasting, recycling the used blast material and magnetically separating the abraded fine particles of the steel shot in the course of the recycling.

  • Patent number: 4655832
Abstract: A blast material for mechanical plating and a continuous mechanical plating process. The blast material comprises 60-90% by weight of steel shot and 10-40% by weight of a coating powder which is an alloy comprising 2.5-50% by weight of iron, not more than 5% by weight of aluminum, copper, tin, magnesium and silicon or a combination thereof and the balance being zinc. The powder has a maximum particle size of about 0.4 mm and an average hardness of 140-450 Hv. The continuous mechanical process comprises continuously blasting the blast material onto a metal part, recycling the used blast material and magnetically separating abraded fine particles of the steel shot in the course of the recycling.
