  • Patent number: 7643608
Abstract: In a method for checking for leakage from tubular batteries, when tubular batteries are fed with their respective axial centers aligned in parallel to each other to pass through a leakage check mechanism, a sealed end face of the tubular batteries is irradiated with an X-ray. In accordance with the result of analysis on whether the incident fluorescent X-ray entering a detector contains a fluorescent X-ray associated with an electrolyte component, it is determined whether the tubular batteries have leaked. A length of a detection window of the detector in a direction of feed of the tubular batteries is set to be less than a spacing between the tubular batteries. A length of the detection window oriented orthogonal to the direction of feed is set to be greater than an outer size of the cross-sectional shape of the tubular batteries oriented orthogonal to their axial center.

  • Publication number: 20080137807
Abstract: In a method for checking for leakage from tubular batteries, when tubular batteries (Ba) are fed with their respective axial centers aligned in parallel to each other to pass through a leakage check mechanism (12), a sealed end face (33) of the tubular batteries (Ba) is irradiated with an X-ray (34). A fluorescent X-ray (40) coming out of the sealed end face (33) is incident upon a detector (39) through a detection window (35). In accordance with the result of analysis on whether the incident fluorescent X-ray (40) contains a fluorescent X-ray (40) associated with an electrolyte component, it is determined whether leakage has occurred from the tubular batteries (Ba). A length (L1, L3, L5) of the detection window (35) in a direction of feed of the tubular batteries (Ba) is set to be less than a spacing (C1, C2) between the tubular batteries (Ba).

  • Patent number: 6900340
Abstract: A method of preparing optically active isocoumarin-3-yl-acetic acid derivatives represented by Formula (I): wherein a specific isocoumarin-ketene derivative is subjected to an addition reaction with an optically active alcohol, and then the ester thus obtained is subjected to a hydrolysis reaction. An intermediate for synthesis used therein. A method of preparing isocoumarin-3-yl-acetic acid derivatives represented by Formula (III): wherein a specific isocoumarin derivative is subjected to an addition reaction with carbon monoxide and oxygen in the presence of a transition metal catalyst. An intermediate for synthesis used therein.

  • Patent number: 5479288
Abstract: A light transmission module is disclosed, having a light receiving element module, in which a photodiode and a coupling portion between the photodiode and a first optical fiber are hermetically sealed, and a light emitting element module, in which a laser diode driven by an electric signal and a coupling portion between said laser diode and a second optical fiber are also hermetically sealed. A two-sided print board is provided, on the two sides of which electric circuits for a transmitting system and a receiving system are mounted. The electric circuits for the transmitting and receiving circuits are; isolated electrically from each other, and are sealed in one body by molds, and accommodated in cases, together with the light receiving element module and the light emitting element module.
