  • Patent number: 5490125
Abstract: A recording device is provided for recording an accompaniment reproduced by a singalong disc player and a vocal part sang at the accompaniment on a recordable disc. A rerecording command during recording is detected for rerecording information on the recordable disc and for producing a rerecording signal. In response to the rerecording signal the recording the information is stopped, and an address of a recorded area of the disc is stored in a memory as an unnecessary area. In response to a restart signal, recording the information is restarted from an end of the unnecessary area. When the rerecording has been finished, the recordable disc is finalized such that the unnecessary area is not reproduced thereafter based on the stored address.

  • Patent number: 5331614
Abstract: A disc playing and controlling apparatus which includes a plurality of magazine type disc players. When a first disc player is operating, the apparatus controls the other disk players to find and load a disc holding the next song to be played. Before searching for the next song, the controller determines whether one player is already set in a standby position or whether the next song is located in the player currently being operated. If no player has been set for the next program, the apparatus reads the next selection from a program list and identifies which magazine contains the selected program based on a data map. The map stores each player number and magazine number in an one-to-one relation with the table of contents data for each song.

Abstract: A multi-disk player having a magazine for accommodating plural disks and a playback means. The playback means moves along an axis parallel to the axis of alignment of the disk in the magazine to a position adjacent a selected disk. The selected disk is extracted from the magazine and moved to a playback position in the playback means. Movement of the disk is under control of a motor, a movable member which responds to the motor and a tray engagement member which is actuated by the movable member. The movable member also actuates camming mechanisms which control the clamping and unclamping of the disk in the playback position and the unlocking and locking of the pick up means.

  • Patent number: 4568169
Abstract: A copy machine having an image forming section includes a paper transport passage to such section, a turn-over guide portion which turns over the sheet formed and recorded with an image on its one surface for feeding-in, and a sheet return for returning the sheet formed and recorded with the image on its one surface, from a paper discharge section towards the turn-over guide portion. And, with each one sheet or n (n.gtoreq.2) sheets being set as one group, each of the sheets recorded on its one surface per each group, is returned to the paper feeding transport passage for effecting image formation and recording onto its other surface. The sheet returning speed is set to be either faster than the ordinary transport speed at the image forming section or to be variable so as to eliminate a loss in time during recording to the other surface of the sheet after recording onto the one surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 4247196
Abstract: The invention is directed to a device for cleaning the surface of a rotatably mounted photosensitive member in an electrophotographic copying machine and includes an elastic blade carried in a holder so as to be positioned in pressing engagement with the surface of the photosensitive member for removing residual developer from the photosensitive member surface. The blade is held at an angle between a surface of the photosensitive member and a side of the blade which faces opposite to the direction of rotation of the member which is either a right angle or an acute angle which is close to a right angle. Biasing means act either on the holder or on the blade in order to urge the blade toward the surface of the photosensitive member so that its forward end is in pressing contact therewith. The holder of the blade has a front wall for supporting the top surface of the blade which faces toward the direction of rotation of the photosensitive member.
