  • Patent number: 11912826
Abstract: Provided is a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin prepreg which exhibits high interfacial adhesion between reinforcement fibers and a matrix resin, while having excellent interlaminar fracture resistance. The fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin prepreg of the present invention comprises: a matrix resin comprising a polyarylketone resin and a polyetherimide resin; and a carbon fiber, wherein the polyetherimide resin in the matrix resin comprises a polyetherimide resin having a structural unit represented by Formula (1), an amount of the polyetherimide resin in the matrix resin (100% by mass) is 3% by mass to 25% by mass, and an amount of the polyarylketone resin in the matrix resin (100% by mass) is 75% by mass or more.

  • Patent number: 6817617
Abstract: In a tricycle in which left and right front forks (30L, 30R) for rotatably supporting left and right front wheels (WFL, WFR) respectively are disposed on laterally opposite sides of a handle post (21) to extend upwards and downwards and are turnably carried on left and right side posts (29L, 29R) supported on the handle post (21), and an upper link (35U) connected at its opposite ends to the left and right side posts (29L, 29R) and a lower link (35D) connected at its opposite ends to the left and right side posts (29L, 29R) are turnably connected at their central portions to the handle post (21), the left and right side posts (29L, 29R) are disposed in an inclined state, so that the distance between both of the side posts (29L, 29R) is decreased toward their upper portions. Thus, the tricycle can be braced sufficiently by inner one of the front wheels during bank-traveling thereof.

  • Patent number: 6367824
Abstract: A tricycle includes left and right front wheel support members which rotatably support left and right front wheels, respectively, and which are disposed on laterally opposite sides of a handle post and pivotally supported on left and right leg members which are supported by the handle post, a steering shaft which is connected to the front wheel support members to steer the front wheels in response to the turning operation of the steering shaft, and a driven wheel supported at a rear portion of a vehicle body frame structure. In this tricycle, a banking travel is possible, leading to an enhanced steering travelability. The handle post 21 and the left leg member 29L are connected to each other through a pair of left upper and lower links 38L, 39L to form a left parallel link arrangement 37L, while the handle post 21 and the right leg member 29R are connected to each other through a pair of right upper and lower links 38R, 39R to form a right parallel link arrangement 37R, 94R.

  • Patent number: 6045524
Abstract: A joint for an orthotic apparatus is disclosed. The joint includes a main block having arc-shaped grooves formed on opposite sides and a pair of rails separated by each arc-shaped groove. The joint also includes a pair of carriers slidably mounted on the opposite sides of the main block, each carrier having a main rollers in rolling engagement with the arc-shaped groove and a plurality of side rollers adapted to roll on the rails. Attached to each carrier is an arc-shaped rack arranged concentrically with the arc-shaped groove and a base plate for connecting to a long leg supporting member. The joint further includes a pinion gear installed on a bottom part of the main block and in meshing engagement with each arc-shaped rack, and an electric motor for operating the pinion gear.

  • Patent number: 6045521
Abstract: An orthotic apparatus for a paraplegic patient includes a pair of leg support members inclined toward each other at a predetermined inclination angle and a joint device coupled to an upper portion of each leg support member. The joint device allows rocking motion of the leg support members within a prescribed range such that the center of movement of the rocking motion approximates a virtual thigh joint rotation center point of the patient.
