  • Patent number: 8715793
Abstract: A touch panel that not only demonstrates little deterioration of performance even in harsh environments at high temperature and high humidity, but is also free of the occurrence of a whitening phenomenon occurring during sudden changes in temperature and humidity, while also having superior shock resistance. A conductive laminate in which a uniform or arbitrarily patterned conductive layer containing a polythiophene-based conductive agent and an adhesive layer containing an acidic component are in direct contact over the entire surface or a portion thereof, and a touch panel in which it is used.

  • Patent number: 6562441
Abstract: A high-performance ink jet recording medium containing a pigment is provided, which has a crack-free, porous ink-receiving layer, and also excellent gloss, transparency and water resistance, and which provides high image quality and ink-drying property. The ink jet recording medium has at least one coating layer on the base material. At least one of the layers comprises a porous ink-receiving layer formed by applying an aqueous coating material comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of a fine pigment having an average particle diameter of not larger than 1 &mgr;m and a pore volume of 0.4 to 2.5 ml/g and (b) 1 to 100 parts by weight of a hydrophilic resin free of radical-polymerizable unsaturated bond and capable of forming a hydrogel by the irradiation of an aqueous solution thereof with electron beam, then irradiating the coating material with electron beam to convert it into a hydro-gel and drying the layer.

  • Patent number: 6146712
Abstract: The present invention provides an ink-jet recording sheet which is excellent in water resistance, capable of providing excellent ink-drying property and image quality, substantially free from blurring, and suitable for use as OHP sheets of which a high transparency is necessitated. The present process for producing an ink-jet recording sheet comprises applying to a base sheet, an aqueous solution of a water-soluble resin having no radically polymerizable double bond in the molecule and selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyacrylamide, polyacryloyl morpholine, water-soluble polyvinyl acetal, poly-N-vinyl acetamide, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose, gelatin, casein and derivatives of them, irradiating the resultant coating layer with electron beam before the coating layer is dried, to form a hydrogel, and drying the hydrogel.

  • Patent number: 5725601
Abstract: A water absorbent cross-linked, carboxyalkylated cellulose-containing material is produced by impregnating a cellulose-containing material with an aqueous reaction solution including a carboxyalkylating agent, an alkali metal hydroxide, and a cross-linking agent dissolved in water in an initial content of 50 to 90% by weight, the molar ratio of the carboxylating agent to glucose groups of cellulose being 0.7 to 2.0; adjusting the water content of the aqueous reaction solution impregnated in the cellulose-containing material to 20 to 60% by weight and of at least 5% by weight below the initial water content by evaporating a portion of water; and subjecting the water content-adjusted cellulose-containing material to a simultaneous cross-linking and carboxylating reaction procedure at 50.degree. to 110.degree. C., while maintaining the water content at 20 to 60% and of at least 5% by weight below the initial water content.
