  • Patent number: 5333350
Abstract: A wiper apparatus having a non-reversing wiper blade includes: a slide bar having a wiper blade attached thereon; a housing for slidably supporting the slide bar in a lengthwise direction of the slide bar, the slide bar having two longitudinally opposed end of travel positions which define wiping positions of the wiper blade; a wiper motor for unidirectionally rotating the housing; and an actuating motor for forcibly sliding the slide bar to bring the wiper blade to the wiping positions.

  • Patent number: 5129123
Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus for adjusting a pressing force of a wiper. The apparatus includes a spring, an operation lever connected to a proximal end of the spring, an arm head for swayably supporting the top of this lever, an arm member provided at a proximal end of the lever, and a cam member. The arm member impinges upon the cam member rotated by a driving motor to undergo a displacement of the spring biasing direction towards the window face. The cam member has its cam face arranged to vary an impingment position of the arm member from a large diameter portion via a stepped portion to a small diameter portion by rotation of the cam member.

  • Patent number: 4858268
Abstract: There is disclosed a windshield wiper device for wiping the window glass of an automotive vehicle. The windshield wiper includes: an arm head, a retainer, an arm spring, and a wiper blade. The arm head is adapted to be fixed to the wiper shaft of the vehicle so as to oscillate about an axis of oscillation. The retainer is pivotally connected to the arm head for movement about a pivot axis extending perpendicularly to the axis of oscillation. The arm spring is interposed between the arm head and the retainer member to urge the retainer member toward the window glass upon the fixation of the arm head to the wiper shaft. The arm piece is disposed perpendicularly to the pivot axis and is rotatably connected to the retainer member for movement about the longitudinal axis of the arm piece. The wiper blade is connected to the arm piece so as to be pressed against the window glass by the arm spring upon the fixation of the arm head to the wiper shaft.
