Abstract: In coordinate and surface texture measurement in which measurement control is performed by a part program, a part program is analyzed to extract measurement information or measurement condition. The measurement condition is rewritably stored such that optimal measurement conditions of an actual measurement can be reflected in a part program, and such that the actual measurement conditions can be added to subsequent measurement control.

Abstract: A tool management method, when performing machining using a Numerical Control (NC) program, searches for cutting tool status information obtained as a result of having performed a machining simulation based on tool information, cutting condition information and the NC program, and on the other hand, actually measures tool wear at the time of actual cutting, estimates the tool wear from each of the items of information described above and judges permission to use a tool.

Abstract: An automatic production system includes an automatic washing device usable to wash off swarf left on a workpiece by an NC machine tool. The automatic washing device is used before measuring a portion of a workpiece using a three dimensional measuring device controlled by a measuring part program controlling the three dimensional measuring device. When automating an operation of the washing device, a washing program is produced based on the a measuring part program controlling the three dimensional measuring device to be able to efficiently wash a minimal area of the work piece encompassing the portion of the workpiece to be measured.

Abstract: There is provided a method and device which extracts as a running operation history a modification made to an NC program for numerical control of machine tools which has already been completed. After making an NC program, modifications are made to the NC program prior to the actual operation so that experience in field work or results of test machining can be reflected. An optimum NC program can be obtained through such modifications, and contents of the modifications are extracted from the NC program as a running operation history to produce a data base. The running operation history data base is reflected in subsequent preparation of NC programs having similar conditions.

Abstract: Machining procedure extracting means extract machining procedures (information about tools, cutting conditions, and the like) based on a machining command of an NC program, and machining procedure outputting means display the machining procedures on a CRT display unit or the like. Thus, a machining operator can easily prepare for machining.
