  • Patent number: 5203073
Abstract: A method and apparatus for assembling exterior parts of a motorcar wherein assembling accuracy errors of a motor car body are determined by measuring positions of a plurality of reference points of said motorcar body. Correction data is calculated relating to respective assembling positions of plural kinds of the exterior parts which form an external shape of the motorcar, the calculation being performed on the basis of measured data obtained in the previous step, while maintaining a correlative relationship among said parts, to eliminate correlative misalignment among said parts due to the assembling accuracy errors of said motorcar body. Each of said parts is then assembled by respective assembling robots to respective assembling position which has been corrected in accordance with the calculated correction data.

  • Patent number: 5107891
Abstract: A safety device for gas welding has a cylindrical main body having a flow path for an inflammable gas. A cylindrical cover is mounted on the outer periphery of the main body in such a manner that it can reciprocate on the outer periphery. The main body is provided with a normal-flow indicating mark and a counter-flow indicating mark which are positioned in space-apart relation on the outer periphery of the main body. One of the counter-flow and normal-flow indicating marks is exposed and the remaining one is covered alternately, depending on whether the flow condition is counter-flow or normal-flow.

  • Patent number: 5030296
Abstract: A process in which a cast strip of Cr-Ni type stainless steel having a thickness close to a product thickness is prepared by the synchronous continuous casting. By subjecting the cast strip just below the casting machine to rapid cooling in the high-temperature region, hot-working or cold-working the cast strip and subjecting the cast strip to annealing or the like, .gamma. grains in the cast strip are made finer, and by carrying out cooling in the low-temperature region of temperatures lower than 900.degree. C., precipitation of Cr carbide in the grain boundary is prevented. Thus, occurrence of roping or uneven gloss on the surface of the stainless steel sheet is controlled.

  • Patent number: 4883544
Abstract: In a continuously cast piece of austenitic stainless steel having a large amount of Mo, segregation of alloy elements such as Mo and Cr is caused at the center part in the thickness direction of the slab, and the .sigma.-phase is precipitated during the step of cooling the cast piece. When a heavy plate or hot coil is prepared from this cast piece as the starting material, cracking occurs in the hot-working step and the corrosion resistance of the final product is degraded. According to the present invention, at the cast piece-forming step, the super-heating degree of the molten steel is controlled to at least 25.degree. C., whereby the equiaxed zone ratio is controlled to below 25%. When the heating times at the soaking and hot rolling treatments and the conditions for annealing the obtained steel sheet are controlled, the pitting resistance of the steel plate is greatly improved and cracking is prevented at the hot-working step.

  • Patent number: 4497003
Abstract: A disc positioning device for positioning a disc having a center opening with respect to a spindle for driving the disc for rotation by bringing the center axes thereof into alignment with each other. An adapter in the form of a hemispherical body of a diameter greater than that of the center opening of the disc is mounted on the spindle in such a manner that the center of a spherical body from which the hemispherical body of the adapter is severed coincides with the center axis of the spindle at all times. The adapter is urged by a spring to be biased with the center thereof serving as the center of rotation.
