  • Patent number: 7822079
Abstract: This laser beam processing apparatus includes a fiber laser oscillator, a laser beam branching unit, a laser beam injecting unit, a fiber transmission system, a laser beam irradiating unit, and a processing table. Based on a fiber laser beam, which is oscillation-outputted from the fiber laser oscillator, the laser beam branching unit executes simultaneous multi-branching from the fiber laser beam into a plurality of branched laser beams. The laser beam injecting unit injects the branched laser beams respectively into optical fibers for transmission and the laser beam irradiating units condense and apply the branched laser beams from the optical fibers for transmission respectively to processing points.

  • Publication number: 20070280620
Abstract: One end of an optical fiber for oscillation is held in a holding groove having a V-shaped section, which holding groove is formed on the upper face of a lower block. On an upper block, a slit is formed in the place that is counter to the holding groove of the lower block. A sapphire rod can be inserted from above into the slit, and is guided vertically in a slidable manner in the slit. The sapphire rod is brought in contact with the upper face of the optical fiber for oscillation, and is supported to be slidable over both side inner wall surfaces at the lower end of the slit. An extent of screwing of bolt is changed to adjust a spring pressure of a compressive coil spring, that is, a press force against the optical fiber for oscillation.

  • Publication number: 20010004368
Abstract: A retaining unit of a laser oscillator retains, in an integratedly coupled fashion, a chamber for accommodating and retaining a cylindrical YAG rod and excitation light supply units (excitation laser units), a mirror retainer for embracing and retaining a total reflection mirror, and a coupling unit interposed between the chamber and the mirror retainer in an intimately contacted fashion. Cooling water CW introduced from a cooling water inlet port (IN) of the coupling unit into the interior of the retaining unit flows through connection passages within the coupling unit, connection passages within the chamber, internal flow paths of the excitation laser units, connection passages at outside end of the chamber, a flow path within a tube, connection passages within the chamber, and connection passages within the coupling unit, into a cooling water outlet port (OUT) for discharge therefrom.
