  • Patent number: 7984950
Abstract: An automobile seat height adjuster includes a linkage base frame between the seat's side frames and seat brackets so as to be vertically swingable. The base frame has two pairs of linkage members interconnected by respective shafts. Each of the linkage members extends between one of the side frames and one of the brackets so as to be collapsable. A power transmission mechanism transmits to the linkage base frame power generated by operation of an operating knob and causes the linkage base frame to swing vertically, thereby causing the seat to move vertically. Stops on the linkage base frame abut the installation surfaces, limiting downward movement of the seat and keeping the seat in a lowermost position at which side frames of the seat are spaced from the installation surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7089739
Abstract: The provision of a structure and method for the affixing of a pretensioner gas generator by which the function of the pretensioner can be improved without the need to use an additional component part or to increase the thickness of the wall of the pipe. In the structure for the affixing of a pretensioner gas generator, a gas generator 16 is held in a pipe 12 by the expanding of the end part 12b of a pipe 12 to form a housing part 15 for the gas generator 16, the gas generator 16 is housed in the housing part 15, and the opened end 15b of the pipe 12 in the structure for the affixing of the gas generator is calked, an annular rib 17 projects outward in the axial direction from the inner circumferential edge part of the calked part A. In the method for the affixing of the gas generator, a press is used to form the abovementioned annular rib 17.

  • Patent number: 7000068
Abstract: A schedule-controlling unit selects a file whose remaining time for playback is the shortest among files to be restored and compares the remaining time for playback of the selected file with a reference time set in advance. When the remaining time for playback is longer than the reference time, the schedule-controlling unit again selects a file in which a distance parameter of a partition of unrestored data to be subsequently restored is the lowest among files to be restored. A restoring unit restores unrestored data of one partition of the file selected by the schedule-controlling unit.

  • Publication number: 20010002832
Abstract: A timer reservation device which can display the recordable term of a reserved program to be executed repetitively, as well as of a one-shot reservation. In the timer reservation device, a CPU calculates up to what date the reserved program to be executed repetitively is recordable on a record medium, based on the remaining recordable capacity of the record medium and the recording time of one execution of the reserved program, and displays the date on a display unit. Moreover, even in the presence of another reserved program to reserve a recording only at a designated date, the date up to which the recording by the repetitive reserved program is executable can be calculated likewise, based on the recording time of the reserved program to be executed only at a designated date as well. Then, the date can be displayed to improve inconveniences resulting from shortage of record medium capacity available.

  • Patent number: 5329516
Abstract: A disk player which is capable of attaining a higher speed in its start-up for sound reproduction, in which at the time of the reproduction of a disk, the pickup moves to the starting position of the reproduced side for the disk to be reproduced after the specified side of the disk is determined when the disk number, the disk size, and the music piece number are specified. Even in case the side B of a disk has been specified, the present invention makes it possible for a disk player promptly to perform the start-up operation of each disk. Even in case any of CDs and LDs different in type is stored, the present invention enables a disk player promptly to perform the start-up operation for such a disk.
