Patent number: 6971835Abstract: A single opening is formed in a central portion of a susceptor of a vapor phase epitaxial growth system. Consequently, any dopant diffused off outwardly from the back surface of a wafer during an epitaxial growth process can be exhausted through the opening to the beneath side with respect to the susceptor. As a result, it may become difficult for auto-doping to be induced, even with no protective film formed on a back surface of the wafer. Uniformity in a dopant concentration in the surface may be improved and thus a resistivity may be made uniform. Further, since a temperature of the back surface of the wafer is measured through the opening, a heating temperature can be controlled stably, thus allowing a precise temperature control thereof. Consequently, the epitaxial film as well as the distribution of its resistivity may be made uniform across the entire wafer.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2002Date of Patent: December 6, 2005Assignee: Sumitomo Mitsubishi Silicon CorporationInventors: Masayuki Ishibashi, Takayuki Dohi

Publication number: 20010027551Abstract: A CD-ROM decoder that reduces the load on a microcomputer temporarily stores in a buffer memory in sector units digital data having a predetermined number of bytes and a predetermined format. The CD-ROM also processes the digital data by correcting and detecting code errors included in the digital data. Further, the CD-ROM decoder transfers the processed digital data. The CD-ROM decoder includes a command register for storing a data transfer request command that includes format information of transfer request data and a data transfer circuit connected to the command register. The data transfer circuit decides the format information of the data transfer request command and determines the byte number of the processed digital data that is to be transferred. Further, the data transfer circuit reads the processed digital data from the buffer memory based on the determined byte number and transfers the read processed digital data.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2001Publication date: October 4, 2001Inventors: Takayuki Suzuki, Hiroyuki Tsuda, Masayuki Ishibashi

Patent number: 5822504Abstract: Font packing device and font unpacking device aims at storing a bit map font at a high packing ratio, and processing and unpacking the packed data with a simple hardware configuration at a high speed. Bit map data of each character is equally divided into a plurality of blocks. If the plural blocks share the same bit map data, then the bit map data is stored for only one block collectively. At this time, addresses indicating the storage area of the shared bit map data for the other blocks are stored. If a bit map data is used for one block only and not shared with any other blocks, then the data is stored with an address indicating the storage area.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1996Date of Patent: October 13, 1998Assignee: Fujitsu Isotec LimitedInventors: Masayuki Ishibashi, Yoshikuni Yokota
