  • Patent number: 10112399
Abstract: A liquid jet apparatus comprises a liquid jet head, a carriage carrying the liquid jet head in a side-to-side direction, a liquid flow channel, and a liquid container in fluid communication with the liquid jet head through the liquid flow channel. The liquid container includes a liquid containing chamber arranged along a front/back direction orthogonal to the side-to-side direction; a liquid outlet port, from which the liquid contained in the liquid containing chamber flows to the liquid flow channel; and a liquid inlet port, through which the liquid is injected into the liquid containing chamber. The liquid inlet port has an end surface that does not face in a vertical direction relative to a normal posture of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20090246955
Abstract: A wafer processing method is provided comprising the steps of: holding a wafer (20) having devices formed on its front surface (21) so that a back surface (22) of the wafer is exposed; grinding the back surface of the wafer to form a brittle fracture layer (Z) on the back surface; and polishing the back surface of the wafer entirely so that the brittle fracture layer remains partially. It is possible to improve the strength of the wafer and reduce its surface roughness while allowing utilization of a gettering effect. It is also preferable to remove only an outermost layer of the back surface of the wafer. Further, it is preferable that the wafer is polished by at least one of wet polishing, dry polishing, wet etching and dry etching.

  • Patent number: 7117002
Abstract: A mobile communication system, and method, having, in an operational area of the base station, a plurality of mobile stations each capable of operating in an arbitrary one of two kinds of communication mode, i.e., a base station dependent mode for conducting communication via a base station and a direct communication mode for conducting direct communication between mobile stations. Information containing an important message to be received by all mobile stations is transmitted from the base station in the base station dependent mode. Upon receiving the information containing the important message, a mobile station placed in the base station dependent mode transmits the information containing the important message in the direct communication mode. As a result, all mobile stations placed in the direct communication mode receive the important message.
