  • Patent number: 5615843
Abstract: A spinning reel for fishing includes a rotor rotatably fitted to a reel body, and a spool supported by the reel body via a spool shaft in such a manner that the spool is capable of a traverse motion in the axial direction of the spool shaft and that a fishing line is wound thereon when the rotor is rotated by a manually operated handle. The spinning reel for fishing is further includes a fishing-line entry restrainer for preventing the fishing line from being wound on the spool shaft. The fishing-line entry restrainer is movably fitted to the cylindrical portion of the rotor placed in the spool. A follow-up mechanism is provided for causing the fishing-line entry restrainer to move forward when the spool is moved in the same direction.

  • Patent number: 5427324
Abstract: A spinning reel for fishing which guides a slider slidably in a manner to restrict the play and clatter of the slider in the rotational direction by a plurality of engaging portions. The durability and strength of the slider are also enhanced. On the inner surface of the reel casing facing the slider, there are provided a first plane-shaped engaging portion and an L-shaped projecting portion, while a second engaging portion is formed on the inside surface of the projecting portion. The slider includes a first sliding contact surface for sliding contact with the first engaging portion, and a second sliding contact surface formed in a projection to be inserted into the L-shaped projecting portion for sliding contact with the second engaging portion.

  • Patent number: 4923140
Abstract: A bail reversing apparatus of the invention has an abutting member formed on the reel body which is made to abut against a kick member to turn the kick member and thereby return the bail support member to the reel-up position. This enables efficient, quick and smooth reversing of the bail support member and does not require high precision in machining the kick member. The apparatus is also characterized in that the kick member is, either directly or through a working rod, connected to the bail support member, so that the reversing mechanism becomes very simple contributing to further reductions in the weight and size of the rotor.
