  • Patent number: 9562805
Abstract: A scale includes a load detection unit detecting a load to a placing unit, a storage unit storing a zero point in advance, a calculation/control unit calculating a load calculation value using a load signal corresponding to the load to the placing unit, based on an output of the load detection unit, and a display unit displaying the load calculation value. When a load is applied to the placing unit, the calculation/control unit calculates a loading state load calculation value based on the load signal in a loading state and the zero point of the storage unit. Subsequently, when the load is removed from the placing unit in a non-loading state, the calculation/control unit calculates a non-loading state load calculation value based on load signals in the loading and non-loading states, and displays the non-loading state load calculation value on the display unit.

  • Publication number: 20080264141
Abstract: A weighing scale includes a platform on which an object to be weighed is placed, a weight measurer for outputting weight data indicating an apparent weight value of the object to be weighed, and an acceleration sensor for measuring components of the gravitational acceleration exerted on the weighing scale. A memory stores compensation factors with sets of components of the gravitational acceleration, each of the first compensation factors being a ratio between the true weight value of a material and an apparent weight value of the material, which is assumed to be measured by the weight measurer when the planar surface is inclined at an angle. The weighing scale further includes a compensator that refers to the memory for obtaining an appropriate compensation factor corresponding to the components of the gravitational acceleration currently being measured by the acceleration sensor.

  • Patent number: 6621013
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a living body measuring device which, once the personal information having been set therein, executes an arithmetic operation simply by making a measurement without requiring a user to remember his/her personal memory number. The living body measuring device of the present invention stores the measured body weight value and/or bioelectrical impedance value as well as the personal body information set in the initial stage, compares the measured values with those stored values, and determines a current subject who is being measured by considering the most proximal values to be the data associated with the measured subject, thereby calculating a body-related index automatically. Especially, if both of the bioelectrical impedance and the body weight are used, then the determination may be more accurate.
