  • Publication number: 20240149904
Abstract: An attention attracting system includes HMI devices that are mounted on a subject vehicle; and an attention attracting device that transmits, to a driver, a possibility of contact between the subject vehicle and an object through the HMI devices. The attention attracting device includes a processor that identifies a risk position at which the contact occurs and a risk level of the contact, estimates a degree of fatigue of the driver, and transmits the risk position and the risk level to the driver. The processor selects an HMI device to be used in accordance with the degree of fatigue of the driver, provides a tactile stimulus or an auditory stimulus to the driver through a tactile HMI device or an auditory HMI device at a remarkableness level corresponding to height of the risk level, and transmits visual information to the driver through a visual HMI device.

  • Publication number: 20240144828
Abstract: An attention calling system includes a time headway (THW) acquisition unit that repeatedly acquires THW at predetermined time intervals, the THW being a value obtained by dividing an inter-vehicle distance between own vehicle and a preceding vehicle by vehicle speed of the own vehicle, an identification unit that identifies a type of the preceding vehicle, and a notification unit that outputs to an occupant of the own vehicle an approach alarm that notifies an approach to the preceding vehicle when the THW becomes a first threshold or less. The notification unit outputs the approach alarm by using the first threshold that takes different values depending on the type of the preceding vehicle, and/or by setting a saliency level that is a degree of saliency of the approach alarm to a first level that has different magnitudes depending on the type of the preceding vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240109555
Abstract: An attention attracting system includes an attention attracting device that transmits, to a driver, a possibility of contact between a subject vehicle and an object and that includes a risk identification section identifying a risk position which is a position having a strong possibility of contact occurring between the subject vehicle and the object and a risk level which is a degree of the possibility of the contact occurring at the risk position, and a transmission section which transmits the risk position and the risk level to the driver, which provides a tactile stimulus or an auditory stimulus to the driver through a tactile HMI device or an auditory HMI device at a remarkableness level corresponding to height of the risk level, and which transmits, to the driver through a visual HMI device, visual information indicating a direction of the risk position viewed from the driver.

  • Publication number: 20240101031
Abstract: An attention attracting system includes plural HMI devices notifying occupants; and an attention attracting device notifying the occupants of presence of a risk of contact between a subject vehicle and an object through the HMI devices. The attention attracting device includes a risk identification section identifying a risk level of the risk of the contact and a notification section: executing a first notification to notify a driver of the presence of the risk of the contact through a driver HMI device solely notifying the driver when the risk level exceeds a first threshold; and executing a second notification to notify a passenger of the presence of the risk of the contact through a passenger HMI device solely notifying the passenger when the risk level exceeds a second threshold greater than the first threshold or when a predetermined time passes after the first notification is executed.

  • Publication number: 20240092260
Abstract: An attention calling system includes a time headway (THW) acquisition unit repeatedly acquiring THW at predetermined time intervals, the THW being a value obtained by dividing an inter-vehicle distance between an own vehicle and a preceding vehicle by vehicle speed of the own vehicle, a time to collision (TTC) acquisition unit repeatedly acquiring TTC at predetermined time intervals, the TTC being a value obtained by dividing the inter-vehicle distance by relative speed between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle, and a notification unit outputting to an occupant of the own vehicle an approach alarm that notifies an approach to the preceding vehicle, based on the THW and the TTC. The notification unit determines a saliency level that is a degree of saliency of the approach alarm in accordance with the THW and the TTC, and outputs the approach alarm of the determined saliency level.

  • Publication number: 20130112885
Abstract: [Problems to be Solved] A phoswich radiation detector, which can easily discriminate between detection signals on gamma rays and thermal neutrons, and which can selectively acquire signals on thermal neutrons, is provided. [Means to Solve the Problems] In a phoswich radiation detector having two scintillators and discriminating between thermal neutrons and gamma rays, the detector comprises a scintillator for detecting thermal neutrons, such as LiCaAlF6:Eu, which has a light yield of more than 1500 photons/neutron, and a scintillator for detecting gamma rays, which has a permeable end on a shorter wavelength than the light emission wavelength of the thermal neutron scintillator.

  • Publication number: 20130105707
Abstract: [Problems to be Solved] A radiation detector, which is improved in the detection efficiency of a photodetector for light emitted by a scintillator, which has excellent long-term operational stability, and which is excellent in time resolution and count rate characteristics, is provided with the use of the scintillator with a short fluorescence lifetime. [Means to Solve the Problems] A radiation detector is constructed by installing an optical wavelength conversion layer, which is composed of, for example, an organic fluorescent substance using polyvinyltoluene as a base material, between a scintillator composed of a fluoride single crystal, such as a Ce-containing LiCaAlF6 crystal, and a photodetector having a light entrance window material composed of a transparent glass material such as borosilicate glass. In the radiation detector, the peak wavelength of light emitted by the scintillator is 360 nm or less, and the peak wavelength of light after conversion by the optical conversion layer is 400 nm or more.
