Abstract: According to one embodiment, a key management apparatus comprises a decrypting module configured to read a first media unique key and an encrypted content key corresponding to a selected content from a first information storage medium and to decrypt the encrypted content key with the first media unique key in order to obtain a content key in a plain version, an encryption module configured to read a second media unique key from a second information storage medium and to encrypt the content key in the plain version with the second media unique key in order to obtain an encrypted content key for the second medium, and a write module configured to write the encrypted content key for the second medium to a user data area of the second medium.

A main item, an option, or an item having a tendency to be used at the same time, are associated with an item related thereto and stored in related item DB. When a user inputs individual identification information for authentication processing, the system searches net member DB to specify equipment that the user possesses. Next, the system gains access to related item DB, searches a related item, and recommends the item to the user.

Abstract: A first encoder section and a second encoder section encode video data at different compression rates. The encoded data are recorded in different areas A and A′ of a large-capacity storage section, respectively. When reproduction on a monitor is instructed, a control section reproduces the video data recorded in the area A. On the other hand, when transfer to a mobile video data reproducing device is instructed, the control section transfers the video data recorded in the area A′ to the mobile video data reproducing device.

Abstract: A document image storage system includes a control mechanism that automatically archives a document image in response to a document being produced by a peripheral device. The document image storage system also includes a memory machine and a remote storage facility coupled to the memory machine. The first memory machine archives document images. The remote storage facility archives document images received from the first memory machine. According to one embodiment, the memory machine and the remote storage facility are coupled via a communications channel. The communications channel transmits document images between the memory machine and the remote storage facility. According to a further embodiment, document image storage system includes a second memory machine coupled to the remote storage facility, the second memory machine also archives document images.

Abstract: A UV-curable resin composition, which comprises blending urethane acrylate with tris(2-acryloxyethyl)isocyanurate, or with tris(2-acryloxyethyl)isocyanurate and with diacrylate, which composition has a low viscosity and a good drawing workability before curing and cures rapidly by ultraviolet radiation to give cured products having a high elastic modulus, a high elongation and a low water-absorption.

Abstract: A gas-venting valve includes a sliding valve and either a fixed or movable valve chamber. The valve is closed by impingement of molten metal or melt flowing out of a cavity defined by the mold, in such a manner that the valve is forced to move relative to the valve chamber from a first position to a second position. The invention further includes a device for urging the valve to move relative to the valve chamber from the first position to the second position; a device for restraining the valve at the first position and preventing it from moving toward the second position, against the force of the urging device, until a part of the melt impinges against the valve; and a device for actuating the valve to return from the second position to the first position against the force of the urging device.

Abstract: Apparatus for moving an injection cylinder of a molding machine between an injection position and a teeming position comprises a drive means, a link mechanism disposed between a pin on the side of the injection cylinder and a stationary pin secured to a lower platen so as to be expanded and collapsed by the drive means, a cam plate secured to oppose the side of the injection cylinder and provided with guide slot comprised of a longitudinal slot parallel with the axis of the injection cylinder when it is in the injection position and an inclined slot contiguous with the longitudinal slot, a first roller mounted on the side of the injection cylinder to be moved along the guide slot in accordance with the operation of the link mechanism, a guide member including a guide slot for moving the injection cylinder in the axial direction at the injection position, and a second roller positioned in the guide slot to act as a center of swinging of the injection cylinder.
