  • Patent number: 9693543
Abstract: A reel body of a double bearing reel according to the invention has a left side plate that has a circular shape as viewed laterally and is situated further from a handle. An outer diameter of a right frame body that serves as another side plate situated closer to the handle is larger than an outer diameter of the left side plate. The reel body includes one or more connecting members that connect the left side plate and the right frame body. Among the connecting members, at least the connecting member that connects the side plates in front of the spool has a planar outer surface facing away from the spool and a curved inner surface facing the spool. The inner surface is formed to be convex outward, and the connecting member is connected to the left side plate through an arc-like bowed portion.

  • Publication number: 20030232250
Abstract: A proton-conducting film suitable for use as an electrolyte in a small fuel cell and a method of manufacturing the proton-conducting film. A proton-conductive film contains at least silicon, and has a plurality of pores three-dimensionally oriented with regularity. The pore diameter is smaller than 5 nm, and the film thickness is within the range from 100 to 10000 nm. The film may be manufactured by preparing a solution for making the film containing at least silicon, adding a surfactant to the solution, attaching the solution in film form to a surface of a substrate, and heating the film at 300 to 800° C. to remove the surfactant and to cause glass transition.

  • Patent number: 5093286
Abstract: The semiconductor-containing glass disclosed herein is a semiconductor-containing glass which is produced by a sol-gel technique and which includes a semiconductor-containing glass characterized in the composition of a glass matrix and a semiconductor-containing glass characterized in the composition of a semiconductor. Either a semiconductor-containing glass has useful properties as a non-linear optical material. The method of producing semiconductor-containing glass disclosed herein is a method in which oxidization, volatilization or decomposition of a compound semiconductor or volatilization of a constituent element of the compound semiconductor by heat treatment for forming glass from a gel solid can be suppressed when a semiconductor-containing glass in which the compound semiconductor is dispersively precipitated is produced by a sol-gel technique.

  • Patent number: 5091115
Abstract: A semiconductor-containing glass having a high nonlinear optical effect is provided which comprises a glass matrix mainly composed of SiO.sub.2 wherein said glass matrix contains a semiconductor microcrystal having a particle size of less than 100.ANG..This semiconductor-containing glass is produced by a method which comprises subjecting a solution containing a metal alkoxide containing at least a silicon alkoxide as well as a semiconductor having a particle size of less than 100.ANG., to hydrolysis reaction to obtain a gelled solid and heating the resulting gelled solid to 400.degree.-1300.degree. C. to form a glass or a method which comprises subjecting a solution containing a metal alkoxide containing at least a silicon alkoxide as well as a metal salt which becomes semiconductor upon decomposition, to hydrolysis reaction to obtain a gelled solid; heating the gelled solid to 400.degree.-1300.degree. C. to form a glass; and simultaneously with or after the heating to 400.degree.-1300.degree. C.
