  • Patent number: 4811009
Abstract: A transmission control system for a transmission system including a plurality of transmission lines inclusive of closed loops has a plurality of network control processors (NCPs) and devices connected thereto, respectively. Upon issuing of data by a device, an identification code, such as identification number or code allocated inherently to the, is added to the data to be sent to the associated NCP connected to that device, while upon reception of data from the associated NCP, the identification code is checked to avoid duplicate reception of the same data. Also, inter-networking devices may be provided to check the duplicated relaying of the same data between loops. To this end, the transmission control system includes a plurality of transmission lines, a plurality of devices connected to the plurality of transmission lines, respectively, and interconnecting units for interconnecting the plurality of transmission lines through the devices.

  • Patent number: 4803683
Abstract: In a distributed processing system where a series of processes are carried out by distributed processors connected through a network without provision of a control processor which controls the overall system, an arbitrary processor generates test information and the processors, each having a memory for storing a program to be tested, decide whether or not the program is to be test-run in accordance with the test information and, if test-run is carried out, send out the result of the test-run program into the network when necessary.

  • Patent number: 4797885
Abstract: In a processing system including a plurality of processing units connected to a common transmission line, the improvement for permitting program tests under on-line environments characterized in that each of the processing units decides whether or not a program loaded in its own processing unit is a program to be tested, establishes a test mode when the program is to be tested, processes the program irrespective of whether or not the program is in the test mode, data of a test result being generated on the basis of data of a processed result when the program is in the test mode, and delivers the results to the common transmission line.

  • Patent number: 4794519
Abstract: A file editing method and a system therefor is used in a file editing system for sequentially connecting the files, which are stored in memory devices of a plurality of distributed devices connected to a common signal transmission line, to an edition data flowing on the common signal transmission line. Each of the devices sends a structuring message having the combination and order of the files to be connected to the common signal transmission line; judges whether or not its own file is contained in files to be edited on the basis of the structuring message and its own connection information when it receives the structuring message; sends a response message having the information of the file to the common signal transmission line if its own file is contained; and structures a connection information required for the file edition in itself on the basis of the structuring message in case it is confirmed through the message that all the files to be edited exist in the system.

  • Patent number: 4789986
Abstract: In a method for checking consistency of distributed data in which data distributedly stored in a plurality of devices connected to a common data transmission line are sequentially combined, each device sends out to the data transmission line output data accompanied with information indicating a position of a processed result in the output data, and the device which receives redundant data compares collected redundant data to select a correct data by comparing only the portion of the data which was lastly added in accordance with the information accompanying the data.

  • Patent number: 4785397
Abstract: A system for loading a program in a distributed processing system including a plurality of information processing units interconnected by a transmission system. An information processing unit prepares a program and sends the program to the transmission system. Another information processing unit receives the program from the transmission system and stores the program in a memory in accordance with a content code of the program. A program based on program may be retrieved from the memory structural information, and sent to the transmission system. Each information processing unit includes a device for sending program structural information to the transmission system, selecting a corresponding program from the transmission system and loading the selected program in the unit.

  • Patent number: 4677615
Abstract: The present invention provides, in a system having a plurality of transmission control units which are connected to at least one circular type transmission line, a method of automatically checking the overlap of the addresses of the transmission control units in the circular type transmission system or automatically detecting the structure of the system. In addition, in a double loop transmission system which accompanies bypassing, a bypass route is constructed in correspondence with the occurrence of a fault in the system, and hence, the structure of the system changes. A conventional double loop transmission system does not include means to recognize the structure under which the system is presently operating, and this has been problematic in the maintenance of the system.

  • Patent number: 4564102
Abstract: A plurality of machine tools are disposed along a circulating conveyor transporting materials to be processed by the machine tools, and material selector subsystems associated with the respective machine tools are provided together with a load/unload command subsystem. The material selector subsystems exchange information therebetween to track materials loaded on the conveyor under command of the load/unload command subsystem so as to reserve materials requested by the individual machine tools. Each of the reserved materials is unloaded from the conveyor under command of the load/unload command subsystem as soon as it arrives at the position of the corresponding machine tool.
