  • Publication number: 20060237626
Abstract: A digital camera has a display screen that improves an external design of the digital camera. The display screen is disposed on a front surface of the digital camera, which surface faces a subject when an image-taking optical system is directed to the subject. The display screen is capable of displaying an image such as a design image or a clock image. The digital camera is also capable of automatically displaying a through image when detecting a subject distance being shorter than a predetermined distance, i.e. a self-portrait is going to be taken. The digital camera is also capable of displaying an image based on personal image data so that a user can enjoy its external design.

  • Publication number: 20060022378
Abstract: The object is to provide a method for manufacturing liquid crystalline resin composition having a hollow filler and a fibrous filler using a common melting-kneading extruder to maintain well-balanced relation between the residual percentages of hollow filler and the fiber length, which balance could not be attained in the prior art. A liquid crystalline resin composition having 5 to 30% by weight of hollow filler and 5 to 30% by weight of fibrous filler is manufactured using a melting-kneading extruder provided with a screw. (1) The liquid crystalline resin is fed from a main feed port located at upstream side in the extruding direction, while a hollow filler and a fibrous filler are fed from a side feed port located at downstream side in the extruding direction.

  • Publication number: 20050221872
Abstract: An electronic camera comprises a flat-shaped camera body and a circular hook portion. The camera body includes an LCD, a rechargeable battery, a memory, a controller and so forth. The hook portion protrudes from the camera body toward the outside thereof. A cradle comprises a projection with which the hook portion engages so that it is possible to suspend the electronic camera from the cradle attached to a wall. In this state, the cradle feeds power to the electronic camera, and data of image data and so forth is bi-directionally transferred between them. The cradle is provided with a large-capacity storage part for recording the data transferred from the electronic camera.

  • Publication number: 20050212942
Abstract: A body of an electronic camera comprises a grip portion and a passage portion. The rear of the electronic camera is provided with a power button, a decision button, mode buttons, a retracting lever and an electronic viewfinder. The top of the electronic camera is provided with a release button. The grip portion contains a battery being as a power source, and a movable image display sheet wound around the periphery thereof. The movable image display sheet is drawn out of the camera body to display images at a usage time. When the movable image display sheet is retracted, the electronic viewfinder is activated and the movable image display sheet is deactivated. When the movable image display sheet is extracted, the electronic viewfinder is deactivated and the movable image display sheet is activated.

  • Patent number: 6838164
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a printed wiring board, comprising the step of forming a hole by an energy beam such as a laser beam, wherein formation of a resin film by a substrate-material resin oozing to the inner-wall surface of a hole is prevented, by lowering the water-absorption percentage of a substrate material through the dehumidifying step as the preprocess of the hole-forming step for forming a through-hole or non-through-hole for interconnecting circuits formed on both sides or in multiple layers, thereby it is possible to realize high-quality hole-formation by preventing a defective resin film formation and obtain a high-reliability printed wiring board.

  • Patent number: 6528617
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing an aliphatic polyester excellent in stability which includes subjecting an aliphatic polyester containing at least 50% of an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid unit, obtainable by solid-phase polymerization under a flowing gas in the presence of a volatile catalyst so as to have a desired weight average molecular weight within the range of 50,000 to 1,000,000, to a heat treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than the reaction temperature of the solid-phase polymerization under a flowing gas with maintaining the aliphatic polyester in a solid state. According to the process of the invention, an aliphatic polyester excellent in stability at molding and storage stability is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6451959
Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst for polyester production capable of producing a polyester with high catalytic activity, a process for producing a polyester using the catalyst and a polyester produced thereby. The catalyst comprises a solid titanium compound obtained by dehydro-drying a hydrolyzate obtained by hydrolysis of a titanium halide and which has a molar ratio (OH/Ti) of a hydroxyl group (OH) to titanium (Ti) exceeding 0.09 and less than 4. In the process, the polyester is obtained by polycondensing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, or an ester-forming derivative thereof, and an aliphatic diol, or ester-forming derivative thereof, in the presence of the catalyst. The resulting polyester has excellent transparency and tint, a titanium content of 1 to 100 ppm, a magnesium content of 1 to 200 ppm and a magnesium to titanium weight ratio of not less than 0.01.
