Abstract: An image output apparatus includes a display unit configured to display on an operation unit a screen including an object indicating that printing is to be performed from a portable terminal apparatus, a generation unit configured to, when the object included in the screen is selected, generate an information code indicating address information and function information of the image output apparatus or an information code indicating the address information and status information of the image output apparatus, a reception unit configured to receive a print job from the portable terminal apparatus having read the information code, and an output unit configured to output the print job received by the reception unit, wherein the display unit displays the information code on the screen.

Abstract: An apparatus stores a setting value for each print setting item as a basic print setting for a print job according to an instruction of operation from an operator entered via a print setting screen, and sets a setting value for one specific print setting item as exception setting, according to an instruction of operation from the operator entered via an exception page setting screen for designating a setting value for the exception setting different from the setting value for the basic print setting of the print job, with respect to the print setting item, which is entered according to the operation instruction to the one specific print setting item of plural print setting items displayed on the print setting screen. The apparatus defines switching of the print setting for the print job, according to the basic print setting and the exception setting.

Abstract: A client apparatus, after inputting a print job to a print service server apparatus, delivers a multicast message including information relating to an execution apparatus that executes the print job and information relating to a proxy apparatus managed by the print service server apparatus that manages the execution apparatus. When an image output apparatus receives the message, the image output apparatus determines whether the apparatus itself executes the print job or requests the proxy apparatus to execute the print job for the apparatus itself, based on a content of the message. If the image output apparatus determines to request the proxy apparatus to execute the print job for the apparatus itself, the image output apparatus requests the proxy apparatus to execute the print job.

The information processing apparatus stores a printer driver module of a general-purpose printer driver constituted by a binary object different from the printer driver in a memory of the apparatus already installed with a printer driver. Abstract: This disclosure relates to a technique for eliminating adverse influences when a mismatch between the firmware version of a printer and the driver version has occurred. A printer driver acquires the ID and version information of firmware from a printer. If acquisition is successful, the printer driver searches a firmware management table on the basis of the acquired firmware related information so as to check if the firmware is compatible to a new function. If the firmware is compatible to the new function, the printer driver provides a user interface that allows a setup associated with the new function; otherwise, it masks a setting control of the new function.

Abstract: In an image processing apparatus having the first storage medium which saves data transmitted from an external apparatus, when it is determined that no new data can be saved in the first storage medium, selected data is stored in the second removable storage medium. Then, the selected data is deleted from the first storage medium while information capable of identifying the selected data is left in it.
