  • Patent number: 5404717
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control circuit for use in an internal combustion engine having a cranking device and an air pump driven by a starter motor. The control circuit comprises a first circuit for supplying a power to the starter motor and the cranking device, a second circuit for terminating power supply for the cranking device with maintaining power supply for the starter motor, and a control unit for selectively switching between the first and second circuits.

  • Patent number: 4618793
Abstract: An alternator rotor has a rotor shaft formed integrally on the center of a rotary magnetic pole assembly having a field coil wound thereon. The rotor shaft has an axial hole formed in one end surface thereof such as to extend axially inwardly and to receive a slip ring supporting shaft. The alternator rotor further has a slip ring assembly, including a couple of slip rings, conductor wires leading from the slip rings, respectively, and the slip ring supporting shaft, which are formed in one body by molding with an insulating material. The slip ring assembly is fixed to the rotor shaft, with the slip ring supporting shaft press-fitted in the axial hole of the rotor shaft.

  • Patent number: 4506180
Abstract: In a fixed field inductor-type generator having an annular stator core on which an armature coil is wound and a field coil which is disposed stationary in said stator core, the field coil is located in space defined by a pair of rotatable pawl-like magnetic poles that are opposed to each other and are supported by a rotary shaft. The field coil is held by a holding member made of a nonmagnetic metal, and is secured to the stator core. The field coil-holding member has fixed collars, which fastened to the inner peripheral surface of the stator core via a plastically deformable metallic coupling member. The field coil is wound on a curved spring steel plate and receives the expanding force at all times from the inner peripheral side thereof. The field coil is contained in the field coil-holding member and is firmly supported by an adhesive that is charged thereinto.
