  • Patent number: 7393019
Abstract: A tube connection assembly comprises a male member, a female member and a mating member. The male member is provided with a retaining part that is formed with a non-circular cross-section on the outer peripheral part of a male body. The mating member is held by the retaining part, is formed from an elastic material having a C-shape, and has, on a portion thereof, mating parts. The female member is provided with a receiving part in which the male member is inserted, and mating holes and formed through the receiving part. The mating member is held, so as to prevent rotation, by a base part of a retaining part that has a non-circular cross-section as a part of the outer peripheral part of the male body, and decreases or increases in diameter in the radial direction to mate with the female member through insertion into the mating holes.

  • Publication number: 20060066100
Abstract: A hose and connector of the present invention includes a connector base inserted in an end of a hose. A seal portion is formed at the inside of the connector base. The seal is formed by an elastic material for sealing with a pipe. An outer member is formed at the periphery of the end of the hose, and the outer member encloses the end of the hose and the connector base. A splice combines the seal portion and the outer member, and extends through the hose and the connector base.

  • Patent number: 4474605
Abstract: A process for refining high-Cr steel, e.g. 13% Cr steel and 18% Cr steel, is disclosed. The process comprises preparing molten iron in a top-and-bottom blowing converter, heating the molten iron to a predetermined temperature, effecting the decarburization of the thus prepared molten iron by blowing oxygen gas through a top lance against the surface of the molten iron to provide a molten steel while, as bottom-blown gas, initially introducing an oxygen-containing gas into the molten steel then changing to an inert gas when the carbon content of said molten steel is reduced to a predetermined level so as to suppress the oxidation of chromium, and tapping the resulting molten steel out of the converter after adjusting the steel composition.

  • Patent number: 4426224
Abstract: The invention relates to a refining lance used in blowing some additive into molten metal in a vacuum vessel when molten metal, such as molten steel, refined by employing a converter or electric furnace or the like is further refined into a metal having the desired composition. The lance includes a center hole for jetting the additive in the presence of gas and a plurality of side holes (Laval nozzle holes) for supply of accelerating gas so as to have the additive effectively added to the molten metal. The invention also proposes a method for producing low-carbon high-purity steels in molten state by using the refining lance.
