  • Patent number: 11168784
Abstract: A vehicle shifter device for ensuring high safety by suppressing misoperation by a driver. The vehicle shifter device includes a shift lever and a lock plate. The shift lever has a cylindrical lever body, a rod movable in an axial direction in a cylinder of the lever body, and a first lock lever and a second lock lever connected to the rod. The first lock lever is substantially L-shaped in plan view. The lock plate has a first extension portion extending in an X-direction and a second extension portion, integrally formed with the first extension portion, that extends in a Y-direction. In addition, the lock plate has a plurality of concave parts. In the lock plate, the projection height of a convex part between the concave part and the concave part is larger than the projection height of a convex part between the concave part and the concave part.

  • Patent number: 10634242
Abstract: A vehicular shifter device includes: an operation member; a body portion which supports the operation member to be shiftable from a home position in a predetermined direction, and which causes the operation member after a shift operation to automatically return to the home position; and a control means which controls the range of a transmission on the basis of a shift operation of the operation member. The control means sets the range to a neutral range when the operation member is shifted from the home position in the predetermined direction. The control means switches the range from the neutral range to a travel range when the operation member is shifted from the home position in the predetermined direction again after the shift operation.

  • Publication number: 20190072177
Abstract: A vehicle shifting device is a shift-by-wire vehicle shifting device for changing a shift-range of a vehicle among a plurality of shift-ranges including a parking range, a reverse range, a neutral range, and a drive range based on manipulation made by a driver. The vehicle shifting device includes a shift lever that is set to positions corresponding to the plurality of shift-ranges, a detector that detects the position of the shift lever, and a lever holder that keeps the shift lever in one of the positions while the shift-range is kept in a predetermined shift-range, the one of the positions corresponding to the predetermined shift-range.

  • Patent number: 9388898
Abstract: In a shift device of the present invention, a shift range is switched to a drive range or a reverse range when a switch portion is operated additionally to moving of an operational member. Switching to a drive range is executed when the switch portion is operated further in a state in which the mount of move of the operational member tilted in a first direction from a home position exceeds a first threshold, and switching to a reverse range is executed when the switch portion is operated further in a state in which the mount of move of the operational member tilted in a second direction from the home position exceeds a second threshold which is greater than the first threshold. Accordingly, quick and easy selection of a traveling range can be conducted, ensuring the safety.

  • Patent number: 9334952
Abstract: There are provided an operational member and a body portion supporting the operational member rotatably from a home position and movably in a vehicle longitudinal direction from its rotated position. A shift range is changed to a drive range or a reverse range when the operational member is moved in the vehicle longitudinal direction from the rotated position after the operational member is rotated in a specified direction from the home position. A shift mode is changed to a first mode or a second mode, which have different gear ratios from each other, when the operational member is moved in the vehicle longitudinal direction from the rotated position after the operational member is rotated in an opposite direction to the specified direction from the home position.

  • Patent number: 9254745
Abstract: There are provided an operational member and a body portion supporting the operational member rotatably, clockwise or counterclockwise, from a home position and movably in a vehicle longitudinal direction from its rotated position. The body portion is configured to allow the rotated or moved operational member to return to the home position automatically. A shift range is changed to a neutral range when the operational member is rotated from the home position, and the shift range is changed to a traveling range (a drive range or a reverse range) when the operational member is moved in the vehicle longitudinal direction from the rotated position after the operational member is rotated from the home position. Herein, changing of the shift range to the drive range or the reverse range depends on the direction of the rotation of the dial from the home position.

  • Patent number: 8276478
Abstract: A pedal bracket (3) affixed to a dash panel (1) pivotably supports a pedal unit (2) via a first pivot shaft (13) and a pivotable lever (5) via a second pivot shaft (17). A shaft retainer (51) prevents a downward displacement of the first pivot shaft (17) under normal conditions, whereas the pivotable lever (5) goes into contact with a side member (33) of a vehicle body and pivots on the second pivot shaft (17) in a specific direction in the event of a vehicle collision, thereby thrusting and displacing the first pivot shaft (13) downward and disengaging the pedal unit (2) from the pedal bracket (3). At this time, the shaft retainer (51) draws back from underneath the first pivot shaft (13), for instance, as a result of pivoting of the pivotable lever (5) and goes into a nonrestrictive state in which the shaft retainer (51) allows a displacement of the first pivot shaft (13).

  • Publication number: 20070137398
Abstract: Disclosed is a control pedal support structure, which comprises a pedal bracket 3 fixed to a dash panel to extend in a rearward direction of a vehicle body, and a pedal body 2 swingably supported relative to the pedal bracket 3 through a pedal pivot shaft (first pivot shaft) 13 mounted to the pedal bracket 3 to extend in a lateral direction of the vehicle body. In the support structure, the pedal bracket 3 includes a mount hole zone 14 for mounting thereon the pedal pivot shaft 13, and a support zone 20 located below the mount hole zone 13 and adapted to support the pedal pivot shaft 13 from therebelow. The support structure includes dropping means adapted, during a vehicle collision, to deform the support zone 20 so as to allow the pedal pivot shaft 13 to be dropped below the mount hole zone 14.
