    Abstract: Provided is an image processing apparatus capable of simultaneous reduction in memory capacity and compressibility error. An output image data generating means 11 generates processed image data based on specific reference data and preprocessed image data. Reference data generating means 5 repeatedly executes an identical processing in one term made up of not less than two consecutive frames. When an object frame is a top frame in the term, restored reference data generated by data expanding means 15 is outputted as data expanding means. When the object frame is a second or subsequent frame in the term, simulated specific reference data is generated based on the restored reference data generated by the data expanding means 15 and preprocessed image data of the object frame, and outputted as specific reference data.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an image encoding device that can balance encoding at a high compression ratio and restoration of a high-quality image by decoding in a short processing time. Compression mode determination means 3 determines a compression mode to be one of DPCM and PCM based on target pixel data inputted from a terminal 21 and predicted data calculated by a predetermined method. For the DPCM, DPCM compression means 5 compresses a difference value between the target pixel data and the predicted data to DPCM encoded data having a predetermined DPCM code length. For the PCM, PCM compression means 7 compresses the target pixel data to PCM encoded data having a PCM code length determined by PCM code length determination means 9. The PCM code length determination means 9 calculates the PCM code length for each piece of target pixel data such that a total of post-encoding code lengths becomes an allowable value or less in a unit of predetermined pixel group among the plurality of pixels.

With this configuration, when an upper body of an occupant P subsides into a seat back S2 in a rear-end collision of a vehicle, the central portion 71, defined by the groove 73 as a border, is easily and sufficiently moved rearward relative to the left and right side portions 72. Furthermore, the tuck-in wire 76 is not exposed through the hole, and thus adhesion between the seat back pad 70 and the tuck-in wire 76 can be improved.
