  • Publication number: 20230365064
Abstract: A display control device includes a memory that stores therein a program; and a processor that is connected to the memory. The processor performs processing by executing the program. The processing includes: detecting a number of lanes indicating the number of one or more lanes including a lane on which a host vehicle travels; determining a processing condition for an area other than an essential display area indicating a predefined display area in a captured image obtained by imaging surroundings of the host vehicle, according to the number of lanes detected; and controlling that includes processing the captured image according to the processing condition determined and displaying the processed captured image on a display device.

  • Patent number: 6411198
Abstract: A portable terminal device of a calling party individually sets a sounding pattern to be used for reporting an incoming call, and a called party is informed of the thus-set sounding pattern beforehand. As a result, when the terminal device of the called party makes the thus-set sounding pattern, the terminal device enables the user to immediately specify the calling party. In addition to sound, blinks of light, vibration of a vibrator, or the color of backlight can be used solely or in combination two of more. Further, so long as the portable terminal device is provided with display means capable of displaying characters, in addition to the incoming call reporting means, a simple message can be indicated on the portable terminal device. Consequently, the called party can immediately ascertain the nature of the call without directly talking with the calling party through the portable terminal device.

  • Patent number: 6385466
Abstract: A portable terminal device including display means 40 for indicating characters and figures, light-emitting means 31 and 32 for emitting exposing light to be used as backlight of the display means, drive means 21 and 22 for activating the light-emitting means, and control means 11 for controlling the drive means, wherein the light-emitting means emits exposed light rays having at least two wavelengths; the control means controls the drive means according to the content of the information to be transmitted to the user in such a way that the wavelength of the exposing light originating from the light-emitting means are changed, thereby enabling the color of backlight of the display means to be changed according to the content of the information to be transmitted. Since a user can ascertain information by means of backlight color, operations required to read characters and figures indicated on the display means can be simplified. This function produces a great effect particularly in darkness.

  • Patent number: 6064877
Abstract: If a user attempts to provide a protection attribute to a new message while the number of old messages which have a protection attribute and are retained is equal to the maximum number of protected messages, a portable radio terminal, such as a pager system, displays on an LCD 13 the oldest received message having a protection attribute. Only the messages having a protection attribute are displayed on the LCD 13 in chronological order of receipt by rotating a rotary switch 4. A message whose protection attribute is canceled is determined by pressing the rotary switch 4 while a message which the user desires to cancel is displayed. Simultaneously, the foregoing operation enables a new message which the user desires to protect to be provided with a protection attribute.
